Lovely staff who were very accommodating despite being very busy. We were there for my mum's 70ths and they brought out the cake when asked asked and set the table with the balloon we brought. Food was lovely and everyone enjoyed themselves. Shame they are not dog friendly.

The pies are always delicious here and I'll keep coming back!Why 4 stars and not 5? My sister has an intolerance to onions and discussed this with the waiter and whether there were onions in the pies. Yet her soup was topped with crispy onions... Not mentioned on the menu, nor while she was ordering.Also disappointed to discover the pork belly bites starter arrived with coriander, as around 1in5 to 1in7 genetically find it tastes like soap and again, not mentioned on the menu.

I used to come here about 40 years ago. We would always visit and have food. The place is still a great place to visit and the food is great. Bass on pump too. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.

Had a great Sunday lunch here with my family. I had the chicken parfait to start and the Glamorgan Crumble for main, and the rest of my group had the tempura king prawns followed by the roast lamb. It was all really tasty and the seasonal veg that came with the mains were great. Portion sizes are very generous and none of had room for pudding. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the young lad who brought our meals to us. Would definitely recommend the Golden Mile but do make a reservation. It gets very busy for Sunday lunch but it maintains a relaxed atmosphere without being noisy.

Wow, great food! Very impressed with the golden Mile Inn.Highly recommend the "Maple glazed pork belly bites, chorizo jam, sweetcorn & lime salsa" as a starter.Great service and just a fantastic place to eat.

Met for a family birthday. Food was excellent and the service good. They are always happy to accomodate us in the bar because one of out members has hearing problems which makes it better for him because it is quieter.

We brought our cousin and friend from Australia here for lunch ,after the Golden Mile was recommended to us by friends who had recently visited for sunday lunch. The lunchtime menu was fairly extensive and caters for most tastes. The food and service was of a very high standard and in a pleasant and well laid out restaurant . We would most certainly return in the near future.

We have eaten here a few times now and every time the food has been outstanding! Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It has great views over the fields and a lovely outside area to sit, eat and have drinks. It also has a lovely play area for young children. We haven't stayed the night as we live near so couldn't comment on that side of things. Would highly recommend the restaurant ? ? ?

We have not eaten here for a while. Our Sunday lunch was excellent. Portions were incredibly generous. Staff were lovely. I had my elderly mother with us who sadly can be very difficult. The lovely lady serving us managed her really well!!! The homemade soup was gorgeous, and the roast dinners really, really good. Will definitely return.
A lovely evening had here with the family, 11 of us! Service was spot on and the food was excellent, all the family enjoyed and we shall be heading back again for the next family occasion. Thank you.

What a shame, we have always enjoyed our meals in the golden mile, excellent service and excellent food. However it is such a shame that the food has gone down hill Belly pork incorrectly cooked Batter on fish was not cooked Chips undercooked The service was still excellent as usual We were also bitterly disappointed that the menu has changed and items we have loved been removed, I was devastated to see the Awsome curry burger has been removed! I appears that there may be a new chef who has bitten off more than he can chew. It’s such a shame to say we won’t be returning

Family get together. The team were very friendly efficient and accommodating.Food was excellent. All served together. We had three children in the group and they made sure their need were met. Good menu with plenty of choice.The play area was again good and the children had a very enjoyable time.My wife and I come here often and the same standard of care and attention is always repeated.I will heartily recommend and look forward to our next visit.
