This is the place to go if you want to pay for an expensive laxative, food is horrendous honestly, been there a few times over a period of time hoping each time it might be better but sadly isn’t. And the staff don’t help the situation either. Miserable and totally rude! And not only that the place looks grubby as hell, can only imagine what behind the counter/kitchen looks like. In fact I bet the rats are wearing overalls out the back helping the staff prepare the food ? (sorry couldn’t help myself) But no on a serious note. Do not waste your money on being ill. Every time I’ve eaten here I’ve felt ill from the food. You have been warned . I’ll now leave you to make your own mind up!

Food took over an hour and 40 minutes to arrive and when it did it was Luke warm I had to warm it up in the microwave.I understand it can get busy at times but not once when phoning or on arrival did anyone say sorry for the wait or explain why it took so long and this has been the case quite a few times.

Called at Pau's Chippy Ynysawdre this afternoon to pick up takeaway fish & chips for dinner. Disgusting!!! The branch is not even worthy of holding your name. Two portions of fish were in the servery ready. I asked how long they had been there and was advised they were fresh (just placed there).....wrong!!! Maybe I should have asked which day they were fresh!!!! The batter could not even be cut with a knife (it was so hard) and the two layers had to be prised apart like a crab shell. The wafer thin fish was dried out and tasteless. The worst fish in my 73 years!!!! It is unusual for me to say that the chips were (fractionally) better than the fish!!! £15.60 (including a small chips) for absolute rubbish - even our dog turned her nose up!

Poor customer service. Felt invisible… staff looked at me and served someone who had come to the window after I had entered the shop. Staff just talking amongst themselves. …very rude. Seriously need customer care training , and to top it off the food was awful too ?
Paul's chippy in ogmorevale, food is amazing best around. Quickly got served,and staff are polite helpfull, good selection of take away foods,prices r in line with everything and good value for Ur money. Large chips could easyaly feed a tribe of children and then some . Werth trying Paul's chippy for. Urselfs
