Always a very friendly welcome from the father and sons...A lovely sincere family who care about what they do.Lovely flavoursome cuisine. Lots a spice layering to the dishes.Served hot on matching plates and cutlery...I eat all over west Wales and the Cardiff area.I've been eating Indian food for many years. Please belive me.When I say that Simla really is a hidden gem of a restaurant. It's consistently good and never fails to disappoint. It's a 5 Chilli Rating from me.

Amazing food, very tasty. The only complaint was that we couldn't eat it all.Very generous portions.

Can't fault it! Absolutely stunning food! Quieter than it should

Bit disappointing for my first time, seemed unsure whether there would be gluten free options or if could cater for at all but then was told "oh should've worded that better, we can do gluten free". Was informed this place did gluten free. Collected the order and the curries wasn't labelled so I had to call up confused which curry was which and although they said the chicken dhansak was the red one and the lighter one was the medium chicken curry, it didn't seem right, I've never had a medium chicken curry that looked like a korma and tasted oddly very sweet.. Partner had his curry but was very watery. Was very disappointing considering the reviews and hype about this place..

We haven't visited for a while (no excuse). The food has always been at or near the top of the tree and still is as far as our party was concerned. Great staff. Very busy on the night we visited (fortunately we had booked). No alcohol sold but you are welcome to bring your own. Public car park behind restaurant but it's normally very busy.

Went in and asked for a recommendation for a meal for 2 hungry people - we had a lamb dish, a chicken dish , rice, garlic Nan and onion bhaji. All I can say is WOW! Absolutely delicious, excellent value for money, great service- brilliant ?

After the experience I’ve had at a terrible Indian takeaway I thought I’d have to write a review about Simla. You should never take this place for granted. Food and consistency is excellent. Great surroundings and good service. If you’ve had a pint and think I’ll get something from the local takeaway, get a taxi and go to Simla. Everything compared is garbage

Relaxed and friendly but efficient.

Fabulous food & great service, overall we had a lovely meal out. Be mindful that there's no alcohol served on site but customers can bring their own for a small £1 per person surcharge. Great really as alcohol is usually expensive when eating out, much cheaper to buy a bottle of wine etc from a supermarket and pay the £1.
