We asked did we have to book, they said no come in. There was a xmas party there. I ordered ciabatte bread with turkey, stuffing and cranberryThe bread would have made a great doorstop. There were 3 ends of turkey which could have been used as a frizbee because you could not chew it, no cranberry sauce, it was the worst meal i have ever hadParking: N/a

Called here on the off chance after a hospital visit. Had been here many years ago and forgotten about it as its a bit off the beaten track. Remembered it last week after a visit to another local hostelry. Absolutely amazing. Food was fantastic, service good even though we were advised it might be a bit slow as they had a large party in, the wait was negligible. Lovely staff. Thoroughly recommend this place. Well worth a visit. We will be back.

Had a wonderful few hours hiding away here for a spot to do some work and chill out. Staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Food was lovely and the place very cosy. Loved it.

Meet with colleagues for a meeting in their upstairs function room then went down to the restaurant for lunch. We has the 3 Corse Christmas dinner and it didn't disappoint - the food was very tasty and the staff helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely return.

Probably the worst food I've ever had attended my auntie's 80th birthday party for a late lunch at 3 o'clock. Pre-ordered food service was very slow and the meals were terrible. From cocktail after a second attempt we refused as the prawns were old, rubbery and had freezer burn from incorrect defrosting procedures. The chef certainly needs a lesson and how to defrost prawns next to the main course. Turkey burnt dry and crispy. The veg was burnt and the sprouts may would've been mushy peas. And at least said about the peas the better! On our table left around 90% of their meals, we weren't ever asked how the food was nor did we get any reduction from the bill. Avoid all costs.

Lovely food, and even better service from Leonie - incredible! Always accomidating, kind and helpful. Even if the food was rubbish - which it wasn't - I would come beack for the excellent service!Kid-friendliness: Leonie was engaging with my son who is 8, asking him about the food, if he was okay, was it nice. Was lovely to see and nice kids are welcomed. Also, great prices for both kids and adults meals.

Absolutely beautiful food & service! I had mango glazed chicken skewers with cous cous!! ? followed by Creme bruleé with fruit compote, it was delicious! Nice coffee with a lovely little Welsh cake (came with the coffee) couldn't fault it. I'll definitely be back!!!!

A new one to add to our favourites list.Tucked away, behind buildings, this place is a hidden gem. An unassuming building that is much nicer inside than expected. The food was fantastic; reasonably priced, brilliant portions (I think I'm still full) and tasted amazing. My only criticism is that the mac and cheese didn't seem to have any sauce at all, but it was a side and everything else was so, so, good. The service was great, checked in on but not too much, and left to enjoy our meals. It's definitely a place to revisit.

Well as it's location is absolutely awful it has to have something going for it? Well it certainly does, the food is excellent, a surprisingly good pint of real ale, together with very friendly efficient staff, definitely worth a visit - just ignore the location.

What a gem of a pub we have stumbled across. Hidden somewhat behind the back of ATS, this lovely traditional pub/restaurant is a pure delight. The staff are very welcoming and pleasent and introduce you to a very tasty menu, including light bites and a children's section. The steak and bree sandwiches on the lighter side were delicious, we returned the next day for steak and burger for an evening meal and were not disappointed. Some staff were quite young and missed a few tricks the second visit, such as forgetting cutlery, sauces that were requested but not brought, and one meal was missing the side of peas. But apart from that, the meals themselves were lovely. Great atmosphere and decor, we will be bringing relatives from afar to appreciate this fabulous venue.Parking: A few spaces, not many but we were able to park both occasions.Kid-friendliness: Great children's menu.

Food and service excellent. Only marked down for atmosphere as we were the only customers (but it was Wednesday afternoon on ths hottest day of the year do far...) In an unexpected location, saw the good reviews and food pics on Google and it was nearby and very close to where I used to work in the mid-80s. So why not? And glad we went.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian paella was very good.
