Recently under new management after a short closure when the previous owner left.Upon my most recent visit which was during the six nations on a Saturday, myself and partner attended this establishment. 4 members of staff behind the bar, all of whom were talking amongst themselves and completely ignoring me standing there. Couldn't seem to get served on the restaurant side so I had to go into the bar where I had people pushing in front of me, clearly a few sheets to the wind. Was told there was no food being served which I found very odd for a Saturday night. Have been here mid week and managed to get a meal. The current landlady doesn't seem very friendly in my experience, the restaurant still had food on the carpet, dirty tables and the staff are very slow at service and don't seem to know much about the products on offer. I won't be going back until this place is under new management.

New owner doesn’t care about the pub . Went three times and no food was being served even though it advertised it was open for food. Staff were inexperienced and didn’t know what they were doing or even how to serve a shandy. When I eventually got food it was not worth the effort. Unseasoned steak tastes like it was frozen fries were greasy and apparently the owner is the chef so she decides when she wants to cook. Should have been a good experience but it was worse than the last owner. The menu doesn’t have much choice so I got a cab to another pub that actually has staff that knows how to take care of their customers, this lady obviously doesn’t

Haven’t been before but will definitely be making it my ‘go to’ place! Dined in bar area due to having my dog with me and it was cosy, clean and welcoming. The lounge was decorated beautifully for Halloween. The service was great. I’m a vegetarian and I ordered the 3 light bite plates for £15 and they were perfect and plenty of choice. I also had a pitcher of cocktail. My husband had the gammon and egg and a coke and it only came to £35! We topped it off with 2 deserts which were also lovely. Lovely outside area too! Perfect for families.Vegetarian options: Would recommend the 3 for £15 or 5 for £22 platters. Perfect if you a grazer or just like variety.

When we visited the West house it was fairly quiet, we had booked a table in advance. The food was of good quality and did not take long to arrive. Over all we had a good time and will be going back. I would
