A seasonal cafe that is within the walled of Caernarfon Castle.Quaint and has retained many features.Traditional good food - from light bites - cooked breakfast and snacks. Great coffee.Family owned and run for over 50 years.Looking forward to returning at Easter.

This little gem is amazing. Pot of tea for 3 and wonderful selection of cakes. The staff are lovely. Well worth a visit and very quaint. Thank you

We found this place by chance, while trying to escape a miserable cold wet day (in summer!) after visiting the nearby castle. The staff seated us promptly (we must have looked cold and wet!). The vegetable soup was delicious and I also tried "Pice ar y maen" as I had no idea what a welsh cake actually was. The surroundings were very cosy and homely . Spotlessly clean bathroom.

This cafe is well worth the visit Only wanted a snack and a drink. The cafe was busy [ always a good sign]. The girls waiting on table were very friendly and did not push you to hurry when ordering The food was freshly prepared and worth the slight wait.

So. A difficult place to review, as so mixed. The staff were very nice and welcoming, no issues at all. The food was nice tasty, well prepared, fresh and O.K. the main issue was portion size and price point. I understand things are going up, but cheese on toast with mushrooms £8+ for one slice of bread! "Welsh Rarebit!" Rare in portion size for the money. 5 stopped for lunch £58 later we all left hungry. Also it was really cold inside. I'd like to offer more but struggling given what was ordered, we all felt the same

Our second visit as our 13 year old remembered how nice his sausage sandwich and hot chocolate was the first time around. They do perfect Welsh Rarebit as well.

Perfect little cafe hidden up an alleyway right by Caernafon Castle. We had the Mad Welsh Rarebit, vegetable soup and the Moat breakfast. Food was not only tasty and cooked to order, it was hot. Much needed on a wet, cold day! Super friendly staff too. Highly recommended!

We weren't convinced when we arrived, but the service and food were excellent, clearly well led from the kitchen. Especially recommend the jacket potato.

Pleasant setting. Off the beaten track cafe. Bit of a wait for food order but tasty enough. Staff very pleasant.

Only had a lot of tea but as prices go, reasonable. There were lovely cakes for sale and all covered up, as should be.
