After completing the Snowden summit hike late in the evening, this place came as a lifesaver! Great food, reminded of the food back in India. The atmosphere might be a bit off putting for those who aren’t used to the ambiance of Asian restaurants, but don’t worry, the food is amazing. Good staff, and special mention to the manager who took care of our food preferences perfectly.

Working away in Wales , called in here after reading the reviews . For a Tuesday evening trade was steady. Managed to get s table near the bar . Staff were very friendly and professional. Tables were well presented without being pretentious. As is the norm was asked if I required a drink plus poppadoms. Ordered both , bottle of Cobra . Poppadoms accompanied with the usual lime pickle tray. ( excellent lime pickle). Had a fantastic Tandouri Sizzling Appetiser. Meat was cooked just how I like it , succulent ,full of flavour. Now onto the BEST curry I have had in years . Possibly the best EVER !! Lamb Korai on a sizzling platter . Accompanied by a Garlic Nan . ( I will order rice on my next visit as well ). Just because it was recommended by a fellow customer. The Lamb was very very tender , full of flavour. I highly recommend it . Customer service was excellent, the staff are a credit to themselves and the Bengal Spices . Very reasonably priced as well. The above food plus 2 pints of Cobra came to.£31.

Visited whilst on holiday and wasn't disappointed. Friendly service and very reasonable price. Food was brought out quickly and was lovely. Cooked well and great portion size.

This is a small restaurant in Caernarfon but worth a visit. Good choice on the menu all at a reasonable price. Meals arrived very quickly and service was good, with all the staff were very pleasant. Decor and atmosphere of the establishment were the only things that need to be improved - quite basic, but definitely worth a visit!

We only ended up here because everywhere else was full but we were glad in the end. A really good meal - full of flavour and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended. It doesn't look like much from the outside and feels very dated inside but the food makes up for it.

The poppadoms where lovely I had chicken teka masala it wasn't the best watery curry and 8 pieces of chicken seemed more staff in restraunt than cooking .

Very unusual to stop in Caernarfon for tea - but yesterday was the day - we wanted a curry and the Bengal didn't disappoint - a wonderfully tasty meal with outstanding service ? the Chicken Tikka Massala highly recommended

Great food and generous helpings, very friendly staff. We had the lamb passanda and chicken balti and we can honestly say they were the best curries we've ever had. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a reservation but were being hurried from the moment we sat down. Rudeness continued throughout with all the warmth and charm, that the other reviewers are talking about, nowhere to be seen when it came to our table. Probably something to do with us choosing to order a mostly vegetable based meal (we are not vegetarians and were just choosing dishes we wanted) and no beer. When we ordered an extra naan mid-meal, the owner refused to give it to us. I have never been to a restaurant where they refuse to serve food to customers because you 'should have ordered at first'. And all curry houses I have been to in the UK and elsewhere, would give you fresh bread during the meal (also de rigueur in South Asian dining generally but let's leave that aside). When we tried to get the owner's attention to point out that the bill was missing one of the items, the owner at first refused to engage for as long as possible thinking we are complaining about something. Nonetheless, we left a tip because we are Bengali and could hear and understand the staff and the owner having a proper go at each other throughout the service. Food was forgettable and needlessly spicy though we did not ask for it to be made spicy.

As the title suggests I've been to many Indian restaurants north, south east and west..but simply nothing compares on quality ,service and price..A must vist to anyone in the North Wales area..

If you're looking for a nice and quiet evening dinner, this is a nice plate to explore. Me and my partner went there for food a few nights ago and the food and staff were both amazing, seeing the family working together as a team made the experience even better. I believe the decoration of the restuarant is nice and simple, warm inside and lovely music playing in the background. If you're ever around this place all im saying is you must try it. Having a nice cold cobra with an indian hits the spot.

This is Caernarfon's first Indian restaurant where we landed on a quiet Tuesday eve as it was the only place in town with an alcohol license. My fellow reviewers who lavish it with praise, need to broaden their horizons more. An Indian person wouldn't recognise this food except a few of the vegetarian side dishes - the menu is all Anglo-Bangladeshi. This restaurant stems from the 1980s and is rather in a time warp. If the owners read this review, I'd like to offer some suggestions: 1) Marinade your meats for significantly longer. 2) Drop the retro red food colouring in dishes. It serves no purpose and your customers will appreciate the taste more from item 1. 3) Reduce the volume of ghee in dishes and on breads in the interests of keeping your customers healthy. 4) Lose the duct tape covering cracks on the wall and maybe commit some cash to a refurb so it's not so dark and old-fashioned. 5) Have a drinks menu printed instead of having customers guess what you stock
