Absolutely lovely fish and chip shop. Comfortable seating area and excellent value for money. 2 small fish,chips and peas and 2 drinks for £12 can’t go wrong! Little gem of a place. Will be revisiting in the summer.

We went to visit Caernarfon Castle in the morning on 15/2/24 and were looking for somewhere to have some lunch. We came across J and C Chippy and ordered food to eat inside in the restaurant. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The total bill was very reasonable and after a short wait the food was brought upstairs to where we were waiting. The restaurant was clean and airy. The food was excellent. The fish (cod) I’d ordered was beautifully done in a light crispy batter. The chips were fresh and light, and the mushy peas were spot on. For me it was one of the best fish and chips I’d had for a long time and the other member of our family party also left clean plates and thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I’d definitely recommend J and C Chippy if you’re in Caernarfon. You won’t be disappointed.

Be warned the cafe is very very expensive and being honest you don't get a lot. What you do get is nice but sorry never again , Fish and Chips £11:99 add that up and just for two of you , me and wife £23:98 no thank you that's way to much for where the chippy is and food you get ......Sorry but it's the truth.

Visited on day one of our holiday.Staff friendly and helpful.Unfortunately no staff available for the upstairs service, was informed that since covid staffing has been limited.Anyhow was served two large chips one with curry sauce and two regular and two kids meals came to £42 payed extra to sit upstairs. Food was hot and tasty.Can't mark up for atmosphere because we was alone upstairs.Staff was lovely and inviting hense good marks for the service.Thanks ?
On the basis of the reviews I'd seen on this site I had very high expectations - what a pity, what a let down - what a dismal experience. Bad or dismal does get convey the utter awfulness of this travesty for fish and chips. Despite having to wait ten minutes to cook the food - that's fine don't get me wrong, but the end result was a fish so small that a fish finger would have been a better option - but the trouble was that it was dressed in flaccid bland undercooked batter that I had to discard - all of it. Recommendation either don't bother or have chips and curry sauce.
