Incredibile authentic Tuscan food. Awesome flavours and lovely atmosphere. So nice to have real Italian food and not the standard fayre of the chain restaurants!!!

Fantastic little Italian restaurant. A small menu offering some more interesting choices than your standard Italian. A lot of time and effort has gone into making this place what it is. Just brilliant!

My wife and I visited Caernarfon a week ago and found this little gem of a restaurant. A lot of places in Caernarfon are closed as the high season has ended. We were the first diners on a slow Thursday evening. We were met at the door by the chef/owner and his lone server, Daniel. They were very kind and welcoming! We chatted with them about what foods we liked, and the wine. The owner personally took care of us and helped choose delicious wines for my wife and me. He made us a special order of the bruschetta, which was fantastic! The pasta dishes were the best we have had anywhere! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and recommend Osteria very much. As the chef said, he prepares every dish as he would for his own son, and it shows!

I visited here a few years ago and was amazed by the service and food. As it was my birthday during my recent trip to Caernarfon I decided to book again. The welcome and service was fantastic , the limited but excellent choice of food on the menu is great. Its not complicated or fussy, just like it would be in Italy. The quality of all the dishes is amazing and the choice of wines also. Sergio came to welcome us all and then added a candle to my desert to make the birthday extra special. I couldn't have wished for a better dining experience in such a charming and wonderful location. Thank you Sergio and all the staff for making it such a special night.

Fab cosy little place. Was able to squeeze us in at short notice. Thanks to Sergio, Gwilym and Daniel. So passionate about what they do. Fabulous platter and tried the coccoli for the first time (so tasty). Thanks again and we’ll be back soon.

This restaurant was wonderful. First of all the service was great - everybody was very friendly. Imagine, I had a blue glass of water, I whispered “Aww, I wanted a green one”. As soon as the waiter overheard me, he got a green one right away! I liked how they were so polite but even better, after our dinner we had a lovely conversation. I can’t say that the food was better than a good conversation but, I can say that that food was one of the best I ever tasted. After a tasty starter, I had some creamy cheese filled pasta which was BRILLIANT!! Also good value for money. If you want to go out for a meal and to make memories, this is the place to go! My 10 year old insisted on writing this review because she was so impressed!

Place is small, even with an upstairs. Recommend booking first if want to eat here. Popped in & greeted warmly by waiter, who began reciting to myself everything vegan/vegetarian, even while he seated us & gave us menus. Thankfully he stopped when I interrupted and told him I wasn't vegetarian. Maybe because I was a woman or coloured or I was wearing a dress or I smiled??!!!! Not enough staff, so waiter was profusely apologetic, but we did get served/drinks. Starter of shared platter was delicious, though in Italy it's usual to have some plain (assorted) bread to eat the salami/cheese etc with. The main of pasta was nice - we ate as much as we could (even a small bowl was a lot). It was v.pricey given the pasta probably wasn't fresh, the peas were dull looking rather than green and the sausage was in tiny pieces - I make better pasta at home. We didn't get dessert, but a table nearby did get pannacotta - 2 small portions that looked beautiful, probably tasty, but again v.expensive for what it is. If you don't want chips then this is a good enough, expensive place to eat in Caenarfon.

Lovely atmosphere with helpful and friendly Italian chef. Serves a great mixed starter platter. Vegetarian options. Could do with some salad options.

Cute atmosphere, friendly and easy going/chatty staff and I was able to ask the cook for a vegan version of the vegetarian platter and it was lovely with beans, grilled veggies, bruschetta selection and fried bread. All in all a very lovely experience for traditional Italian food even for a vegan!Vegetarian options: It was possible to get a vegan pasta with veggies, pomodoro pasta and vegetarian/vegan platter.Dietary restrictions: Vegan options are tasty here.
