“One work trip to Caerphilly we tried out the King Balti as it was within walking distance of the hotel. We had previously tried the Castle Gate Indian restaurant. Both myself and my colleague preferred the King Balti. Starting with crisp Poppadoms and a good chutney tray we moved onto our mains. I always have a Pathia the 1st time I visit a restaurant and their version was very good with the sauce not too sweet and a good flavour profile in every bite. One portion of rice, a naan bread and an excellent Saag Aloo side was amble accompaniment for the two of us. We had a good chat with the newish owner and staff at the end of the meal and they were very nice people, so give it a try if you are in the area.”
