Volare deserves at least 4 stars. Our meal was utterly delicious. Had a pretty good idea that it would be good, as this was the third time lucky in getting a booking. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the ravioli and penne succulent and not overcooked. Only one small niggle which would have given the restaurant 5 stars. Having lived in France for 17 years all restaurants, de rigour, provide a small basket of bread at the table. This sadly was absent, the delectable and delicious sauces that accompanied the meal needed something to mop them up with. One guest was Italian and she agreed that bread is also served in Italy too. Otherwise full marks. Definitely be visiting again but will remember to book a week in advance.

Came here last night for a family celebration. Food was amazing. The staff were lovely. A fabulous evening and will definitely be back soon . Highly recommend this great restaurant!!

What can i say. We've eaten in Milan and Rome and Volares is the best Italian to date that we have eaten in outside of Italy, We ordered the fish board starter each and there was so much Whitebait, Calamari and king prawns that it could easily have been a sharing platter and all was cooked to perfection. For our mains we had penne spezzatino and Risotto Alla ernesto, again both cooked perfectly and tasted amazing but due to the starter being so huge i could only eat half my mains but that's not a complaint, not at all. I wish i had had enough room to finish off our meals with a limoncello but i was so full i could even fit that in. Staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us and our thanks to the chefs for such a great eating experience.

Had a gorgeous meal here. We went for the Christmas set menu, and the quality of food and portions were fantastic. The staff are lovely and there was jazz Christmas music playing which really added to the relaxing atmosphere. It was our first time here and will definitely come back. Lovely cosy restaurant.

Lovely evening. Festive menu excellent. My vegetarian sister had fish unfortunately it was not hot. Money refunded no problem .Great relaxed atmosphere. We live in Caerphilly and think we are so lucky to have this restaurant here.
