Cote is part of a chain. Not very busy on a Fri evening, table no problems without booking. Very pleasant and rapid service. Food was good - simple steak & chips. Not a cheap place but I though value for money was OK.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by smiles and friendly staff! My food allergy was taken very seriously and my food arrived with little flags on top. We were there for my parents' joint birthday meal and we had a wonderful time. The food was really good value for money, and what I really enjoyed is that we weren't hassled by the staff; they kept a close eye on our table but didn't disturb us with lots of questions and knew when we'd finished our food without hanging around us. Exceptional service. Thank you and we look forward to returning!Dietary restrictions: They took it very seriously and have an iPad with all the allergy information which you can filter for each menu available at the restaurant.

We had a beautiful meal. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Compared to some other eating places nearby the prices were not too high. The quality of the food was first class. We will be going there again on our next visit to Cardiff Bay.

Lovely lunch out with friends. Sorry we were slow in ordering and paying. The catch up we had wasuch needed! 8oz sirloin supplement was a bargain for the beautiful steak I received on the lunch menu. Thank you Cote!!

We’d intended to cross the barrage for a long walk but it was closed so we popped in here for the two course business lunch. After a warm welcome we were soon sat down and ordered. I had the salmon fish cake followed by a chicken dish. Service and good were very good - thanks.

Delivery seemed well below reviews. Server was delightful, and wine selection was very good and fairly priced. Decor is tired and seafood was over cooked and smothered in potato.

Very disappointing lunch . Food was perfectly edible but everything about the meal was dull. The quiche lacked flavour and seasoning , the fish pie just sat in a burnt , glazed dish . £3.50 for small can of coke was a bit much with table water not given but only to be bought . The lunch was not helped by sitting next to dirty double glazing fixtures and layers of dust on the pillar This could be so enjoyable with just some effort

We went here for our anniversary before going to the theatre. We were warmly welcomed and given a table near the window. We were greeted with 2 glasses of sparkling wine due to our celebration which was a lovely touch. The service speed was tailored to our needs and the food was excellent. We will definitely be back.
To be honest the best part of our meal was the crab starter my wife had. I started with the cheese soufflé which was served looking more like a crème caramel; definitely not my idea of a soufflé. As for the mains, the beef bourguignon was lacking sauce, I may be wrong but a bourguignon should be more like a stew not dried meat. The fish parmentier was lacking fish, three small pieces of salmon and three small prawns. Very disappointing but given the other reviews this month I guess August has just been a bad month for them. Leaving the food aside the atmosphere of the restaurant was great and the staff were very friendly.

The fantastic service and the delightful offerings of both coffee and tea certainly make it a remarkable place to unwind and enjoy beverages. It's the perfect spot for coffee and tea lovers alike. I'll definitely be adding this gem to my list of places to visit. ☕??

We always enjoy our visits to Cote Brasserie but sadly this was not a great one. My first choice of main course was not available. The calamari had a lot of burnt greasy "bits" on the plate, the fish stew which used to be amazing was less so, more liquid & less fish with two thin pieces of baguette on the side. The biggest let down was the truffle chips, not only did they initially send out the wrong chips, so they were delayed, but they were dreadful, so dreadful we had to return them & the cost removed from the final bill. This is not the usual standard we expect from Cote - let's hope it was just an off day! Read less
