Met the new manager Leah who made us feel so welcome and she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. She even helped us sort out a taxi back to our hotel! “Nice bar, with a good atmosphere, serving tasty food and drinks. You can tell that the front of house staff enjoy working here as this is reflected by the excellent service. It was my first time trying Welsh rarebit, so it’s difficult to compare with other restaurants serving the same dish but, it was tasty and I would have it again. For mains the Glamorgan sausages and the mash were nice but there was too much gravy for my liking that it overpowered the other flavors…perhaps they should serve the gravy is a separate gravy boat. Overall, a nice bar and eatery that I would recommend if you want to try some “local” Welsh dishes.”

“Yesterday we had a nice surprise that the 'birthday shot' drink comes with a Polaroid picture. As the cocktails were 2-for-1 it meant we got 2 Polaroids taken with our drink and we get to keep them as a keepsake. What a lovely idea! The buenot cocktail also deserves an honourable mention as it tastes just like a kinder Bueno ice cream!”
