Eds easy diner is amazing because the staff are friendly and they have the food and drinks that you may want to eat and drink and the Shakes are amazing and the full American breakfast was amazing and it feels like you are in a American

My partner and I went to Ed's Diner for breakfast before an event during the day. It was not good. While the wait for the food wasn't too long. What we received was not of sound quality.A £10 breakfast was exceptionally bare and lacking. For some reason they used the same over-sized plates for every meal; which just made the aesthetic look poor. The food itself was mediocre at best. Soggy toast, rubbery eggs and a weird sausage patty. The drinks didn't fare much better; a lacklusture cofffee akin to a cheap fast food chain.My partner's food was slightly better in the sense she received a more reasonable portion for the cost. But it was still problematic, especially the horrendous mushrooms included in the vegetarian meal. Which I didn't even touch.Would not recommend or return. I felt robbed of my money to be honest. On top of this they tried to include a service charge. Absolute Joke.

When arriivng it showed to be busy, when seated we ordered and the diner seemed to be quiet, waited over 30 minutes for food and no staff memeber came over until we addresssed the issue and when the food arrived the fries were cold and staff member could see the fries were put to the side of the table and did not repsone to the situation. After waving over staff member they offfered fresh fries and refused as we had been waiiting over 30 minutes for the first fries. No refund was offered and no appology offered from manager.

I'm quite a fan of Ed's Diner! The food here was of good quality and I was a big fan of the vibe and atmosphere.The staff are really friendly and helpful here, willing to answer any questions, especially surrounding those like vegetarian options.Vegetarian options: A lot to choose from.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is located within St David's and the entrance is quite open and accessible.

Extortionate prices for little quality. Upgraded to dirty fries which added dry bacon pieces with the smallest drizzle of cheese sauce to my fries. There was more cheese on my chicken burger than on the fries. My chicken burger was rubbery and hard both at the same time. My friend had a milkshake with a beard hair in then when he asked for a re-do they presented him with a perfectly fine milkshake but with a straw covered in chocolate sauce. Some staff walked past our table after we had clearly finished our food and stacked it at the end of the table. The atmosphere of an American style diner is all you’ll get here in my opinion. £80 for 4 people would have carried better in a miller and carter steakhouse if I’m honest.

took over an hour to receive food. when we were seated we didn't get offered a drink until about 20 minutes after. very expensive for something that is basically just a mcdonalds with a glorified name. the music is the only good part about it. won't be coming back ?

I have been to this restaurant twice and it has the best milkshakes I’ve ever had in my life! It also has great food and very friendly staff. I definitely recommend it and will definitely be coming back.

Terrible! Don't waste your time, food took ages to come out people had who came after us and ordered burgers were served quicker than us who ordered a small breakfast and a small loaded fries. When food came out my bacon and hashbrown was cremated & the mushrooms were so over cooked and dried out they looked like unpopped corn kernels. Ordered a coke float ( only sugar free available ) and the ice cream they used tasted like tesco value ice cream and was watery and ice tasting. I always wanted to go and it Very disappointing and wouldn't be going.

Popped in for a late lunch treat last week while in Cardiff. Was greeted and shown to our table straight away. Our order was taken fairly quickly too. It wasn't particularly busy, I guess we had missed the main lunch rush which was reflected in the good and timely service we received compared to some other comments. Drinks arrived promptly and our food followed shortly after. Halloumi fries were good as were the burgers we ordered. Portion sizes are deceiving as it was filling, tasty and much enjoyed. Have been here a few times when visiting Cardiff and havent been dissapointed. If you like burgers, hot dogs etc then Eds is worth a visit. Will be back again.

Approached entrance, a staff member promptly came across and informed it would be 5-10 minutes for a table, we were given a menu to look at while we waited. 15 minutes later, we were seated and asked if we were ready to order. 45 minutes later, our food eventually arrived. We hoped it would have been worth the wait. It wasn't! The poorest excuse for chicken and waffles I have seen, most places include bacon on the menu, I had to add it on. Good job I did. Won't be going back.

Went with family for some breakfast and all the manager did was sit on her laptop whilst the waitress did all the work and was running around like crazy. It was so sad watching this girl stress out doing everything and having no help from anyone else. Seems like there’s a lazy management environment in the workplace and another family noticed it too when the girl looked like she was going to cry. The women on the laptop had ginger hair, tattoos and was sat there the whole time mainly watching the girl struggle. If anyone else had helped out the service would have been a lot faster which is disappointing because the food was amazing. Very disappointed will not be coming again.

The manager serving us was a ginger fox, very friendly and attractive not to say how funny she was, food was incredible and made my mouth feel things it’s never felt before, the only word I have to describe this restaurant is WOWZA!P.S so grateful for the free shake from the feedback! ??
