Delivery took 75 minutes, when I’m 10 minutes or less from restaurant. Curry, naans and starter all luke warm. Will say the chicken madras was the nicest I’ve had for a long time - chicken cooked from scratch, sauce delicious & right amount of spiciness, but all had to be reheated. Naans, starters nothing special. Could improve by faster delivery time, and ensuring food arrives hot.

We've had our cycling club Christmas meal at the Janata Palace for the last three years. This year we had 48 people, the staff were polite, organised everything efficiently and the food was excellent, as always. Everyone enjoyed the night.

1st time we have been here and it was very good. I personally think it could do with more of the chefs' speciality meals on the menu. The menu in general was comprehensive, and the food was very good. It is well worth a visit.

Just got a takeaway for a treat. We were so looking forward to it. We usually go to red chilli and really wish we had. This was just awful. Really bland food, no heat to it at all. A strong flavour of raw onion with no spices detectable at all. I had chicken and my partner had lamb. The chicken tasted a bit like a disinfectant type flavour and even the rice was odd...very watery and almost sweetish. It was totally inedible and very disappointing.

Picked up our order of lamb tikka bhuna and chicken tikka masala this evening. Writing the review immediately because I’m so wound up. I had the bhuna, and there was NO spice at all. On a medium spice curry, I expect to feel the heat in my mouth after every mouthful. The only thing I felt was disappointment. Like dumping a tin of tomato soup on top of some lamb. What on earth happened? Could’ve made a better curry myself. - and for a lot cheaper! 2 stars because the naan was really good and I respect a good naan. Just a shame we were dipping it in tomato soup Whatever happened I’m assuming it was a blip, because our previous order was fantastic. Sort it out because when a bhuna and a tikka Masala taste the same there’s something wrong.
