Been going to Spice Route for years and always loved it there . Went last Sunday and have to say was really disappointed. Food was cold. No interaction from staff at all, our plates were left on the table for the whole visit and we were the only ones in there. Price wise far too expensive for what it is. Been two years in a row for my husband's birthday, on a Monday in December. Both times it has been empty.The food has been brilliant both times. Naans cooked fresh to order and are yummy. There was a good variety of curries available, especially given it was a Monday lunch - highly recommend the chicken makhani! Quite disappointing overall. We love Indian food but felt some of the dishes here were over powering, actually left feeling quite sick and we didn't eat much.No real interaction with staff except for payment. Really over priced for what it is.
