Interesting and tasty menu! Food is very flavourful and has notes of coconut and warm spices such as cardamom. Some items can be very spicy, yet only half of the spicyness from their origins as we were told :-)Weird drinks also. This was our first time visiting The Coconut Tree following our recent relocation to Cardiff. My partner chose the restaurant for our New Year’s Eve meal and it was an excellent choice. The atmosphere is just right, the service is impeccable and the layout very comfortable to sit in. The food was tasty and amazing but the reason I cannot give it five stars is the portion sizes. What a fantastic find this was for us!Delicious and fresh tasting food, lovely staff and wicked cocktails!Lovely atmosphere, very close to the Utilitia Arena, comfy seating, nicely laid out, not too noisy, reasonably priced.The only downside is the portions. If you have your main meal in the evening and you like a good feed then order several dishes as it's very much based on street food theme so you'll be hungry if you just go for a couple of dishes.
