Nice cosy tea room on the Waterloo Gardens and I am happy to return here when I am in the area again.

Me and my friend popped in for a light lunch, after a long walk. It was lovely! The brioche buns were so soft and the egg was cooked to perfection. Lovely staff especially the lady who serve us, i believe her name was Kira. Besides the great company, the coffee was great. I most definitely would recommend to a friend !! Thank you

Really nice lunch of avocado toast (ve) with delicious Miso butter. Surprising and scrumptious. Cake and coffee too. And when I expressed that I found the coffee not quite to my taste, I was immediately made a replacement which was lovely. The service was friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was warm and cheerful. I arrived just before it got quite busy so I had a lovely seat in the window with happy people coming in and out. Altogether a lovely lunch. Thanks!Vegetarian options: About 10 options from 14? are vegetarian or vegan. Loads of choice.Kid-friendliness: Babychinos and accessible with pushchairs. Lots of children were coming and going. All seemed to be welcome and accommodated.

A wonderful experience for my elderly mother's birthday: lovely ambience, delicious and plentiful food plus kind and attentive staff made this an exceptional occasion. We'd pre-booked a table for afternoon tea, which was ready on our arrival and everything flowed smoothly from then on. It was an innovative menu, with 3 types of sandwich, scone with cream and jam, savoury scone with avocado, savoury tart and 4 individual petit-fours each, as well as a pot of tea. We weren't rushed and the staff were very accommodating. A delightful treat all round.

Why do you say you close at 5 pm? I walked in the Waterloo Tea Coffee Shop on Wellfield Road at 4:15 and you told me you were closed. I think that’s an absolute joke! Was really looking forward to having a nice coffee and cake with my little one. Terrible service!

Felt as if i was taking the young lady assistants time with my presence. We ordered 2 teas and when it arrived my wife was asked if she knew what she was doing and should the assistant explain the process. Thankfully after 63 years my wife is capable of pouring a cup of tea without the aid of an egg timer. Strange what skills you pick up as you get older.

In the post office I said to myself ‘all I need now is a cup of tea.’ Lo & behold this understated cafe is right next door! Virtual perfection as you can see. A slice of lemon, leaf tea in a pot, an egg timer for the perfect brew & a piece of polenta cake!

Had a lovely cream tea this afternoon my Daughters treated us I've had cream teas before . But this really this was the best . Lovely cake, sandwiches really fresh. There was fruit and a small salad as well. Scones where gorgeous lovely jam and cream couldn't eat it all they gave us little box's to take cakes home.,
