We ate here twice recently. The food was very good although one of the steaks that was ordered as medium/rare came well done and the custard that came with the bread and butter pudding had the consistency of milk. But they do serve proper chips, not frozen. The service is slow even when the restaurant isn't very busy and the staff are not very attentive. I stayed here one night, with a small group of walkers. The rooms were very comfortable & clean, the breakfasts were very good and our hostess both very helpful (collecting us from our walk and returning us there the next day) and informative.
I could not have guessed how great this property is it's in a great location in the brecon national park The overall ambiance is a treat for the eye And the staff and owners were very friendly and helpful I have no hesitations in recommending you must give it a go you won't be disappointed.
