Parts of the breakfast were cold but decent food for the price. Went on a different occasion and three alcoholic drinks and a squash was less than £9. Can't fault the value.

One star is too much for the terrible service and bad attitude from the so called manager Shaun who served us two pints of totally flat Black Dragon cider (which tasted more like watery apple juice) he then refused to offer any kind of exchange or refund claiming that "We're not broke and could afford to buy another drink!"I've had Black Dragon cider many times in bottles from the supermarket and despite not being as fizzy as other ciders available It's never watery and flat with no bubbles at all.Shaun's superiors should definitely be reviewing his body cam footage to see how he's treating customers but he's probably already deleted It to avoid the embarrassment.Also judging by the amount of negative Google reviews I'm not the first person that has had a poor experience with this manager.

I haven't had food in here, just flying visits while waiting for a bus, but it's always busy with plenty of staff on to serve. Good selection of ales.

Bar staff ignored me for over 10 minutes, looking me up and down whilst doing so. My food (nachos) came without guacamole or peppers, manager couldn't care less just scoffed. Then he proceeded to insult his kitchen staff, and stormed off without an apology or a kind thing to say. Disgusting customer service from the manager

Bar staff was lovely, very friendly and quick considering how busy it was.However, the male manager (shaun?) we spoke to about the table we had booked for weeks (yet wasn't reserved) was very arrogant and rude. Just snapped at us insulting his staff, said he'd try and find a table but wondered off and didn't bother speaking to us again or so much as apologising that he couldn't be bothered to reserve the table (even though we saw multiple others reserved) gave us awful attitude which is a same as the rest of the staff we spoke to was lovely.
First time here after recently moving into the area. Had a fantastic experience.It was very busy, but we were able to find a table near the bar. Although it was busy, it was a nice atmosphere.We ordered food and drink, which all arrived to our table within 15 minutes of being ordered. Which is fantastic service considering how busy it was.Thank you!

Its always a little loud in the John Fielding but they do have booths that are a little quieter around the corner. Its pretty good food at a fair price and the food came in good time. ?

Called in this morning for breakfast my wife ordered Scrambled eggs on toast what arrived was chopped up poached eggs, when she asked why the eggs weren't scrambled she was told that's how they come very poor
