i went here today just to get chips and payed 3 quid for them in a tray they looked like they had been hanging around they most certinely wasent just cooked only to be told thats the vinegar there sitting in does that as i returned to ask about it thats what the owner i presume told me that was cooking the chips. anyways he changed them over for me and this lot was fine proper chips crispy and golden not like the 1st lot now why didnt they serve them the first time.

Usually our go to chippy for lunch, but after 20 minutes of eating from there, my stomach started to hurt and I was rushing to get to the bathroom. Didn’t get what we actually ordered, I got additional things which I didn’t order and my partner was missing items, I assume they had someone new working as they usually get our order bang on. Battered sausages have got worse personally

Amazing food but probably wouldn't return!!We visited Mr Chippy for lunch today and ordered the classic cod & chips. I must say that the food was absolutely delicious! The chips were great and the fish was a good size and it was cooked perfectly! I would probably say it's the best fish & chips I've tasted!...BUT...I don't think I would return based purely on the service / lack of! We waited around 40 minutes altogether - partly queuing, but even after ordering, it took forever! Half the staff didn't seem to be doing a great deal. Everything seemed extremely disorganised and nothing seemed to be running very smoothly at all. They also forgot multiple orders while we were there! There was no way on this Earth we could eat indoors - the tables were so close together and the noise was unbareable! I couldn't have enjoyed sitting in there...I will reiterate that the food was perfect! ...but no fish & chips is worth all of that!

Ordered fish, wasn't told I had to wait for it to be cooked, wasn't worth the wait, although the battery was lovely the cod was rancid, watery and mostly grey, never again. Chips are always good though

On a slimming world diet, had the naked cod, loved it, so tasty, recommend by Matthew manager, excellent friendly staff, will defo be ordering the cod again, xx

One worker in there absolutely disgusting, a Muslim women was trying to order and the worker who was serving her couldn’t understand her and was giving her filthy looks. She had a disgusting attitude while talking to her and as soon as the customer left the worker was slagging her off to us. I did not stand for this and told her to sort her attitude out and that she should be ashamed of herself. Absolutely vile and should not be working there. So much for equality.
this place is the best fish and chips I've ever had,the cod is skinless and boneless and its far from small,if you haven't tried it I totally recommend you do

Loved the delivery there not doing it anymore, which is a shame. Fish and chips are good. Seats in side shop could be out of a prison they could do i with changing. Food is good
