I picked up a Too Good to Go bag here this evening. I think the lady serving me was called Ella. She was so welcoming and friendly. I got 2 chicken and salad bags. I’m happy with what was in the bags. Thank you Harvester for another warm welcome

The food was amazing and we didn’t have to wait for long. It was a great hang over cure. I would say maybe I could have been checked on to see if I wanted another drink. However I could see it was really busy and there was only about 2-3 members of staff so I think all in all it was great. I used to work in hospitality and I know how hard it can be when there is a lack of staff and every table sat and I would never complain.

Me and others went here around 8pm - and was one of the few places we could use for food quickly. And it was the worse harvester food we've all ate, which was a shame. The server was lovely, and friendly and explained its been manic due to the rugby.- First, there was no chicken available apart from the rotisserie, which is understandable.- But, the quality of the food was so poor! The skewer plate: the pitta style bread was solid, to put food in it felt like it was a cracker between the meat.- Surf and turf:The whole dish looked awful, portion size was shocking (for reference that's the photo you can see), looked like the very last items of the night been thrown together. The 'medium' steak was cremated, the chicken was dry. The whole dish felt like it was the very last items put together, and cooks who were tired and couldn't be bothered with quality.- cheese garlic bread:I've personally never known cheesy garlic bread, go be a cut piece of bread, with cheese, sprinkled on top... the second photo you can see. The bread was stale and awful.Honestly,We were starving and weren't expecting anything spectacular and we did eat it all. Because hungry people never leave food. The server was lovely, she was at the end of a busy day and long shift. We was going to complain, but honestly felt thats the last thing we wanted to put on her shoulders, and that with the added that we wanted to leave.Considering the bill came to £86 for all of us, it felt like we threw money away but too hungry to decline anything.Real shame, I certainly wouldn't rush here again. I have no doubt it was manic, and no doubt everyone just wanted to go home. But the quality was so poor.(Chips were fresh, is the only positive?)

Service was great for the first 3 minutes. We ordered food and drinks together but then I had to remind the waitress that we never received our re-fill glasses, she apologised and promptly got them. They were HOT! The waitress even acknowledged that the glassware was hot? Completely utterly unacceptable. Was this her first day in hospitality?Salad bar was poorly stocked, with very few items. The food as a whole was fine. Arrived warm and followed order requests.(Well done to the lads in the kitchen)After finishing our meals we sat with our plates at the table for 23 minutes before I had to shout over to a different waitress whom replied with “wa”I simply asked if we was going to get service and rushed over our bill.Very disappointed with the lethargic services we had tonight and as a group agreed that will would not return to such a venue. The manager who was on tonight was reactive not proactive.

We visited this harvester a few nights ago as we couldn't get a table at our regular one in Pontypool, the service was slow and it was very clear to us that our waitress didn't want to be at work. We understand that people have off days but it made us feel very unwelcome. The salad bowls & mains were bought to us quickly but after having our plates removed we waited 10 minutes to be offered a dessert menu while the waitresses stood and chatted, we then had to wait 25 minutes for our desserts to come.

Great food , arrived fast and we were impressed with the salad bar stock too. Steak was a bit undercooked than what my husband asked for but they fixed it quickly. Tia was a warm , friendly and attentive server and a credit to the business. Thank you

Me and my friends had a lovely experience at cwmbran harvester. The staff was lovely and the food was amazing. The bald manager at the door was very warm and welcoming. Would definitely visit again!

Went to Cwmbran it was not a good experience, it started with when I asked for garlic bread sorry we don’t have any in fact there wasn’t much on the menu. Gave our orders for our main meal and told we could help ourselves to salad, what salad? there was only lettuce, tomato, beetroot and coleslaw, no croutons or onion and bacon bits.ordered drinks I had a Bacardi and coke only to be told no Bacardi. When the food came the chips were cold. The one positive thing was the girl that served us was great felt really sorry for her as she was running around while the other members of staff were all shouting and having a good laugh, if it was me I’d be furious.,

Booked a table for my family on Wednesday night came through the door and the girl (blonde) rolled her eyes huffed and reluctantly took us to the table which was tiny and refused to move us. Restaurant was disgusting. Only one person I saw running around all night serving people who had a huge smile on her face and saved the night (not sure of name unfortunately but was small, had red hair and an English accent). The 3 stars on this review are due to her amazing service sorting out the issues with our food and her warm friendly professional attitude unlike the other people. Dreadful place with only one staff member who cared she’s a credit to the place.

I had dinner here at this Harvester tonight with my wife and some friends. The first thing I noticed when we walked through the door is how friendly the staff were. We were immediately attended-to and seated, despite the fact we had arrived without a booking on a Friday evening. We had two children with us, and the staff even took the time to interact with them, which really made the atmosphere more friendly. We all ordered the from the "3 courses for £16.99" menu. I had the breaded mushrooms to start, the dirty burger as a main, and the ice cream sundae for dessert. The salad bar was clean and there was no cross contamination or spillages between the different ingredients on the salad bar, which is one of my pet hates with salad bars in other restaurants. The starters arrived promptly. I can only speak to my starter (the breaded mushrooms) which was very tasty. Reminded me of garlic mushrooms you can get from a takeaway. There were not many on the plate, but that's understandable given that this is a starter.I will admit I made a mistake with the main. I ordered the dirty burger with the dirty fries, and a doubled-up burger. The meal arrived and the burger was absolutely massive. It was really tasty, but unfortunately I couldn't finish it all. One thing I will say is that it's a rather messy one to eat, so keep the napkins on-hand. I'll definitely be ordering it again, but only opting for the one burger next time! The sundae I had for dessert was really nice as well. It's essentially a warm brownie, chocolate sauce, ice cream, and whipped cream. Then a waffle cone and fudge sprinkles on top. Perfect if you're a chocolate fan.Overall I really enjoyed the food and the staff made the experience even more enjoyable. My wife and I will definitely be coming back here again.

So my wife booked a table for us on Sunday 4th December 2022 as it was my birthday. We received great service from Lisa C (Thank you so much) and i ordered a burger with all the trimmings from the Christmas menu as part of a 2 course meal priced at £15.99 (Order No: 5581). The meal arrived warm (but i hate complaining) so began to eat (as a man we can smash these meals in 5 minutes right?) well, the burger was very tough, i didn't cut the burger, it chopped. On close inspection the outer burger was burned, it really was awful. We did then complain but to be honest i just wanted to get out of there. Our complaint fell on deaf ears and we were charged full price. I'm afraid after 9 years of custom we won't be back. Sub-Standard food at inflated prices. A horrible meal.

Went here with my young daughter and her friend on a Saturday, not particularly busy. By far the worst meal I have ever had anywhere. Ordered myself chicken kebab meal. Tasted like it had been pre-cooked sometime ago, very dry, chips were also precooked and re-heated then left to go cold. No usual passing waitress came by during meal to ask how it was; otherwise I would have complained then.I did complain after the meal when I requested the bill, I told the waitress (the above) she did ask if I wanted to speak to the Manager but I said no, I was in a rush but to tell the chef and Manager please.I begrudgingly paid, when I got home I emailed the Harvester with my complaint few weeks ago, as I felt ripped off, to date I have not had a reply to my email, disappointing. So here I am with my Google review. Not wishing to slate any other Harvester as I have eaten at different ones before and enjoyed. I would not recommend anyone eaten at the Cwmbran Harvester in the town. Awful. If I could zero or minus-Stars I would
