We bought a takeaway last night which was so disappointing. The 'chapattis' were shop bought wraps. The mint dip was watery. The only difference i could taste between the rogan josh and jalfrezi was the amount of cayenne pepper. No fresh chillies or coriander like there used to be. We were going to book a large table for our son's birthday, but won't be returning.

Me and my family went to the tamarind Cwmbran on Christmas Day and we cannot sing their praises to enough. The food was 10/10 and staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. With it being Christmas Day, we thought the menu prices would be more expensive but they were exactly the same! Thank you tamarind for a lovely Christmas lunch, we will be back.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Just if you have allergies, be sure to triple check with staff even when food arrives. There was some confusion with dishes being confirmed as nut free and then coming out not nut free.

if you’re looking for somewhere special to dine out on a Monday or Tuesday evening you would be mad to go anywhere else! A fantastic value for money deal of £19 which includes poppadom and chutney tray, starter, main with side dish and desert/coffee to finish. My sea bass starter was a meal on its own! The portions are enough to feed at least 2 people per dish. All delicious and well presented. No scrimping on the dishes or mini portions for the offer. Our party of 3 all had to have containers to take home our leftovers of which was most of the food as we had filled up on poppadoms and starters! The restaurant is lovely. Proper table cloths and napkins. Very clean. The staff are all lovely polite and attentive. Special mention for Bilal our waiter who looked after us this evening. Highly recommended. I’ve been several times over the years and it just gets better each time. Happily paid full price at weekends and worth every penny. They also do a take away service!! What’s not to love about this place. Can’t fault it. 10/10

Don't bother ordering a delivery from here. It never arrives! My wife and i were using 3 phones to try to find out where it is! She's just gone out in the car to actually visit Tamarind Cwmbran. If you can't offer the service then don't do it. Theres always KFC.
