I have ordered from pizza time for at least a few years, always been tiptop.I ordered this evening and was not informed at all about the new management, however I ordered my original meat and chips with mint sauce, the sauce came bright green (which fine if it tastes the same whatever) however it was so strong and green that it completely ruined my whole food. I rang and explained I had even paid £5 for delivery and I couldn’t eat it. This ‘new management’ said that’s on me because 90% of the custom love it.. ? I can assure you that isn’t the case and I’m almost certain their trade will drastically change due to poor management, customer service and the food I received - poor food.

Used to be goodOrdered 2 kebabs, both mixed.One was delivered wrong, ordered kofte and received lamb shishBoth kebabs only contained about 3 pieces of lamb and 3 pieces of chicken, horrendous value for money, will not use again.

Driver delivered the wrong pizza. So I rang and told them. Someone spoke to me very nicely over the phone and said I will send the right one in 10 minutes. I explained to the guy over the phone that my kids were hungry as the delivery took over an hour and 30 minutes when I am only 20 minutes drive if that. So leave it.the person over the phone said he is sending that as it was their mistake. The driver however comes and starts talking loud to my 15 year old daughter saying give me the previous pizza back. So she said its half eaten but I will get it. He than said to her why did you eat if it was wrong. So I went to the door and told him what I said to the guy over the phone. He than starting raising his voice and said the same thing to me. I told him to keep his voice down. He than started muttering and went.What an awful experience. Never again.

Ordered at 8.30 food arrive at 9.30 cold soggy and pizza was like rubber rang and let them know so they sent it again 25 minutes later food was still only lukewarm , won’t be ordering again kids had too be in bed for half 9 as they have school tomorrow but as they hadn’t eaten had too leave them wait up for the hot pizza so now I’m sat here at 11 pm trying too get three kids too sleep for school in the morning . Won’t be ordering again food would of been nice if it was hot

Called in on the off chance on cold Friday evening, great welcome by Paula and beautiful food & wine. Service was quick and efficient.

What a lovely place, was out exploring and found this jem tucked away. Service was great and friendly. Food and drink was very reasonable priced and was smashing. Very happy thanks so much

Great menu and great burgers with a great tasting selection of sides too. Knocking a star off as we arrived and were told there were no available tables (despite four being free) and told to come back 30 minutes later. When we returned the same four tables were free and were seated straight away. Slightly bizarre…

Absolutely lovely meal the chicken was falling apart on the fork, the meal came out promptly altogether for 11 of us and was asked all time by waiter was everything ok, the place was clean and tidy definitely be back soon x

I have been to Block&Barrel a few times now and the steaks and burgers are great. We attended for a Christmas event with some friends and the main meals unfortunately werent up to the usual standard. The starters were still good, I had brie wedges which were good. I went for the Lamb Christmas dinner, the Lamb in fairness was very good. However the veg was tasteless and boring, it came with green beans and boiled potatoes. That was it! Apart from a mountain of bland boiled carrots and sprouts on the side. There wasnt a pig in blanket, a roast potato, a roast parsnip, pea's or any stuffing in sight (All essentials on a Christmas dinner in my opinion). Boiled potatoes or green beans have no place on the plate. The carrots could have been honey glazed/roasted for some flavour and the sprouts cooked with bacon and chesnuts to make them a bit more interesting. Some of the group went for the Turkey parcels which were quite dry but they did find some stuffing in the middle! The lucky Flippers! Others went for the Christmas burger which looked pretty good in fairness with a side of chips or sweet potato fries. In hindsight this was the better option and I vastly regretted my original decision ( A common feeling I have grown familar with over time). The puddings however were good, I opted for the traditional christmas pudding and custard, phenominal. I have scored three stars because the starters and puddings bumped up the score. If I were to grade the main alone as a Christmas Dinner it would be a 2 at best (only because the lamb was good). The veg effort was very poor.
