We only had lunch but the soup was delicious and the ham in the sandwich was as thick as the bread.

There is nothing at all wrong with The Bishops. It’s just not quite as good as its rating would have you believe.Food is good. There are a few veggie options but it’s far from exceptional and the portions aren’t huge despite prices not being tiny.It also stung a bit that orders and payment are taken at the bar and before you confirm you are expected to choose the amount of tip to give.Staff are nice enough but when we asked for some recommendations we got very little back.This review is not a criticism. If you want a solid place to eat you won’t be disappointed. But if you’re expecting something that justifies a 4-5 star rating you might be.

Had Sunday lunch here which was absolutely beautiful, great size portions. The pub has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere and a roaring fire. Lovely view of the cathedral in the beer garden. Highly recommend.

It was super super great~~!!Good moods, amazing food and absolutely wonderful staffs! I was so embarrassed when I couldn’t get any traffic for train, it was on Sunday, and my phone dead… OMG.. thanks to the wonderful staff who really helped to arrange to get a taxi. I had a safe way back cause of you~! Xx

We love this cosy pub! The food is excellent and reasonably priced and the staff are all very friendly!Parking: During busy tourist seasons parking is almost impossible near the Bishop's. There are car parks nearby, but they can be a bit of a walk.
