This was a fine facility. It is too bad it was not functioning as a café. With the café closed there was lots of space downstairs to hang out, which was good because the small room had no where to sit but the beds. There was an honesty fridge with beverages, however there was no beer but there was wine. There was not a good place to dry clothes in the room. No drying rack. Hikers need to clean and dry some items. The shower leaked water onto the floor. Otherwise the host was friendly when we saw him in the morning. The place was pretty quiet. We stayed two nights because we were going to go to Skomer, but that got cancelled because of weather. But we had a good stay overall. Breakfast was good with traditional offerings.

Very friendly, great breakfasts, very quiet for sleeping and clean. Marloes is a great base for walking/rambling at the centre of everything, especially for exploring this section of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Nearby is the spot where Henry Tudor came ashore from exile, marched across Wales, to engage and defeat Richard III, and thence become Henry II founding the Tudor dynasty.

Excellent stay. Thank you both. Went Over and above with advice and help and noticing anything we might need. Especially helpful to work out the system for electric car charging before we arrived Thank you for a wonderful few days

We started a 4 day trek along the coast path here and would recommend it. Kirk runs a tidy and functional b+b and let us leave two cars for the duration of our walk(£5 per car per night). The breakfast was great and really set us up for our first day of walking. For a single night stop at the start of the walk it was great. Thanks Kirk.

We stayed at the Clock House for a couple of nights as we had a boat trip booked to Skomer. The room was beautifully decorated, very comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfasts were delicious and very filling. Just what you need when you're enjoying the wonderful coast path walks in the area! The boat trips to Skomer quite frequently get cancelled due to high winds and you don't know this until the day. So its really worth booking a few nights stay, as if your boat gets cancelled you stand a chance of getting a cancellation that comes available and rebooking for a day or two later which is exactly what we did. And there is so much more to do in the area. Loads of coast path walks. The famous Marloes Sands beach. Dale is only a short distance away and is really beautiful with lots of water sports. And St Anne's head with its Light House is only a couple of miles on from that. An idyllic spot in beautiful Pembrokeshire. The Clock House makes a perfect base for exploring this amazing area.

We stayed in the guesthouse the night before an early boat crossing to Skomer. Julie could not have been more helpful. The rooms were great and Julie got up to cook us an early breakfast so that getting to the boat on time was stress-free. Highly recommended

After a long day's walking it was so good to arrive at The Clockhouse. The bath was a very welcome respite for our aching muscles and to then only have to stumble down the stairs for an excellent pre-made supper and a  choice selection of drinks was bliss. Breakfast choice was great and presented really well. Just a short jaunt to Marloes Sands now to rejoin the coastal path!

My family and I stayed at Foxdale in the May half term. The site staff were very friendly and efficient and always on hand. The quiet time of 10pm- 8am was always adhered to which is good as previous sites I have been to are still loud until the early hours so this was good for us who like to have earlier nights in order to have earlier morning get ups. We felt the site was very small and we felt this did not reflect the images seen online. Our plot was primarily shaded due to the trees and at a slight slope however most of the other plots were in direct sun majority of the time with a flat ground so be sure to check your plot with staff beforehand is my recommendation. The site felt very safe and my children felt safe to walk around at their leisure, our belongings also feeling safe. The toilets and shower facilities need a serious makeover, there appears to be three uni sex toilets for the whole site with urinals for men, so there were many occasions my children and I had to wait to use the toilets and it isn’t very pleasant to have to go into one after someone else has been in there for a long time….The shower facilities are also poor, as the water is either boiling hot or freezing cold, there is no inbetween and from my understanding everytime someone used the washing up facilities this affected the temperature tremendously, this means it is very difficult to simply have a wash not to mention having a child with sensory difficulties so we found during our stay he had one shower because of this. There was only one small cubicle to have a wash and brush teeth. Overall, the site staff were welcoming and take pride in the site but I do feel an injection of modernisation to the facilities will drastically improve the stay, and so until that happens we won’t return to the site.

We have just spent 4 idyllic nights at The Clockhouse. Kirk, the owner is such a lovely chap, warm, welcoming and a very good host. Nothing was too much trouble and we really enjoyed chatting with him, he gave super tips on places to see in the area. The Clockhouse is delightful, rooms are immaculate and the lounge and 'honesty' bar are great added extras. Breakfast was delicious, great range of choice, we tried different options - all first class! We were surprised that the boats to Skomer are 'online only' now, we hadn't realised this and were lucky enough to get two cancellation tickets on the day. However, I will no longer see The Clockhouse as an overnight option before the boat moreover it is a wonderful place as a base to explore this corner of Pembrokeshire. We were so glad we booked for 4 nights as there was much to see and so much coast to explore. Book it, you are in for a treat!

What a lovely Guesthouse, so comfortable and clean and peaceful. Julie and Gwyn are lovely hosts, they cannot do enough for their guests. We would definitely return to this beautiful part of Pembrokeshire and Foxdale.

While hiking on the Coastal Path & other area routes, I spent four delightful days/nights here. Upon arrival, I found an envelope with all necessary information as well as keys to gain access to my charming & bright room. The room was spotlessly clean as are the inviting common areas in and around the breakfast room. Breakfast the following day is where I first encountered Kirk, a warm & welcoming man whose breakfasts were consistently excellent! Kirk is efficient without being intrusive; he allows guests their privacy & space, but will engage in lively conversation if invited. That is a tricky line for any innkeeper to follow and Kirk has mastered that art. One final tip: If you request a takeaway lunch while hiking, try the cheese & pineapple sandwich…it is awesome!

We just had a great long weekend at Foxdale Campsite. It was really quiet with everything we needed for a great weekend. It is also ideally placed for anyone who is planning to visit Skomer as the harbour is only 1.5 miles away.

Beautiful spot for camping. We stayed in our campervan with electric hook up. Basic facilities on site but very, very clean. The campsite managers were very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend. The village is very quiet. There is a lovely pub called The Lobster Pot Inn - worth booking in advance if you are planning on eating there. Also a small shop/Post Office/deli/cafe - the food on offer looked amazing. The beach is a 40 minute walk each way.

We stayed 3 nights while walking the coastal path. We arrived in the evening to find out small twin room and bathroom cold. When we asked to have the radiators turned on we were told in no uncertain terms that we had hot water bottles and duvets and that it was an old building and heating would only be on between 6 and 7pm. In top of that there was no hot water in the bathroom sink and the shower only had two settings - scalding hot or freezing cold. So we were not off to a good start and the only village pub, The Lobster Pot, where we had intended to have dinner, was closed. Things improved subsequently with breakfasts which were hearty and beds that were very comfortable. There was a nice sitting room with a good selection of games and a wood burning stove which we lit ourselves. However, given the lack of heating and hot water, this B and B does not represent value for money.

Lovely small family run site. We stayed in our campervan and pitch was good size and reasonably level. Facilities good, with everything you need for a comfortable stay and dog friendly too. The Village has a pub which is a short walk from site, we called in for a drink but didn’t eat there so can’t comment. Marloes sands is a 35 mins approx walk away, through the village and across fields, what a beautiful beach and very quite this time of year. Plenty to see in area a short drive from site. Would happily stay there again.
