3 of us ladies visited the Vine for lunch, before a trip to the cinema....lovely relaxing place...no loud music or TVs the staff were very gracious, and the FOOD....well it was lush, well done to the chef. Would recommend the Vine, 5 stars from me..WELL DONE.

We visited KO carpets to buy a carpet and decided to have lunch at the Vine and I am glad we did. This was mid-week and the restaurant was quiet , only one other couple so service was fast. I had a beef Lasagne and my wife had the Butchers Faggots. These were enormous and my wife reckoned they were the best she had ever eaten. She could not eat both faggots so left one and later we thought we should have taken it home for the dogs! Friendly staff, good portions and simple but good food. To be recommended.

It would be helpful to update this site because we rang Tues 13th Sept to book a table for 2 at 5.30 the message we got was if any problems I would get a call back so turned up at 5.20 to find that the place was all locked up its all very well saying the opening times have changed on Facebook but not everybody is on that site very disappointed

Looking for somewhere at the last minute for extended family celebrations. Nothing immediately local for Sunday lunch to accommodate 17 of us. Was suggested to go further afield and contacted The Vine who were happy to 'move some tables' and feed us. We were certainly fed. What a fantastic Sunday lunch. Presentation was great and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. Generous portion sizes. Lovely staff who looked after us really well. 10/10 on this visit and we will certainly be going back.

Very friendly staff and helpful. Food was great and came out piping hot. The price for each course was very reasonable. As was the price of drinks.

We booked the Vine by phone. On arrival we were greeted by young friendly staff who showed us to our table and soon came to take our drinks order. Choice of either turkey or beef and several alternatives including vegetarian options all at £14 . A bottle of Rose was £14 and we had two soft drinks and tap water. We ordered three adult meals and one child's some . Some had turkey others had beef. All were generous portions even the child's portion was reasonable. All came with roast potatoes and roast parsnips mashed potatoes large Yorkshire pudding and gravy with peas, carrots ,swede and cauliflower cheese all served in separately. A jug of gravy was also provided as well as stuffing for those who ordered turkey. Food was excellent with just the cauliflower cheese a little undercooked for my taste but a very good Sunday lunch. We had a couple of deserts chocolate brownie with ice-cream and cheesecake with pouring cream . Not huge portions but very nice. Mum in law finished off with a latte which was excellent. All in all came to £82 for everything for all of us so not too bad for our special occasion. The vine has two car parks but the larger one could do with a bit if tidying up. The pub was renovated a couple of years ago but the one car park is quiet rough and looks a mess for the sake of a bit of a makeover. All in all a good effort

We went this week as a family of 4. 2 had the steak - delicious and so well cooked (medium rare), one a burger and one the hunter’s chicken. Nachos and garlic mushrooms were enjoyed for starters. No room for pud! Paying the extra £1 for the garlic potatoes is well worth it. Go!!

My family and I (4 adults) visited the vine earlier this week and I can honestly say it was fabulous food. It was hot, home cooked and very tasty. Portions were large and so no puddings were required. We had: scampi and chips, hanging chicken kebab, vegan burger, steak and ale pie. I can honestly say it was some of the best pub food we have eaten. Hats off to the chef.

Visited here yesterday with my husband and 2 teenagers. We all shared the nachos starters, teenagers claimed them amazing. Ordered 4 mains, the waitress recommended the lasagne, Wow. Tasted amazing, daughter had the Gammon, it was big enough to feed Pembrokeshire!! All home cooked meals. Reasonably priced for families wanting various types to suit everyone. Definitely this place is up there. 5stars from us.

Four adults two children enjoyed a fantastic Sunday lunch and great service in well appointed and decorated surroundings . Food could not be bettered and staff could not have been more helpful . It’s not easy going out with young children but we were served promptly and really were looked after !

Had Sunday lunch here today with mum dad and my dog. Food was very nice. Fresh vegetables, lovely potatoes and generous portion of meat. The staff were very efficient and gave us a table in the corner for my dog. Soon to be a local, so will have to go back there some time. Thank you and to the chef on such a hot hot day to cook and work.
