We’d booked a table here on the last night of our holiday and were staying in a nearby campsite. Unfortunately our van wouldn’t start and when we called the restaurant to let them know they sent Llinos to pick us up! Great service and food. And then Llinos gave us a lift home! She even put us in touch with someone to replace our van’s battery so we could get home the next day. We have visited the area lots of times and this is the best meal we’ve had locally! Highly recommended.

Sadly, discovered this excellent little restaurant late on our holiday. Really nice food, catering for both adults and children and friendly staff. Good value for money. Would certainly go again and highly recommend.

Visited this morning for breakfast. Greeted by Llio who gave a text book standard of service throughout. Both my wife and I requested certain variations to the dish described on the menu. This did not present a problem at all and the food served in good time, was delicious, clearly using quality ingredients. Coffee was delicious and the earl grey tea served in leaf form. The decor had been well thought out and added to the pleasure of the visit. The place was spotlessly clean and we look forward to a return lunch or evening visit.

The team at the Black Lion are fantastic. The food is really good, the drinks are great and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. Whenever anyone visits we make sure to go and have dinner at least, but also for the scones. Best scones anywhere.

Food very tasty. This place is the perfect cross between home cooking and something that bit more special… lovely décor including very attractive loos! And for me, the mark of a good restaurant, they got my Irish Coffee exactly right. Highly recommended.

Had the most amazing lunch here today. The food was outstanding as was the service from start to finish. All food freshly made and very generous portion size. I had the chicken, avocado and halloumi burger which was delicious. The puddings/cakes are something else..even bought another to take home with me. Special mention for the lemon and coconut slice. Yum!

Fabulous brunch, the Vege breakfast was excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the experimental banana skin grilled with maple syrup. Sounds awful, tasted great. Service was great and it's a lovely stylish place to linger over food with friends.
