Sunday lunch is incredible for a cheap price. All fresh and piping hot. Beer garden is lovely in the summer and dog friendly. In addition there’s plenty for the kids in the summer, bouncy castle etc. Highly recommend

Great local pub/boozer. Friendly atmosphere. Locals are generally very accepting of 'foreigners' (of which I was/am one!)Sunday lunch good value, but book in advance.Bar snacks often available, but not guaranteed.Usually has real ale on tap.Parking: The car park is on a hill. If you're not confident, you may have problems!Wheelchair accessibility: The pub itself shouldn't be a problem. Getting from the car park to the pub is downhill... You can guess how it is, leaving! ?

Called in for Sunday lunch and it was amazing ......I had beef, the wife lamb and it was perfect .......Home made vegetable soup to start, mains with plenty of veg and generous portions of meat ....Finished off with home made lemon drizzle sponge and custard ......The staff were all very friendly and the locals made it a very homely atmosphere ......Very reasonably priced and well worth a visit for anyone looking for genuine Welsh hospitality .

Fell upon this pub when passing, so my husband and I decided to see if they did a Sunday dinner , was greeted by a friendly staff , we were seated and we odrded a beef and lamb dinner , the pub is dated but nice dated and I wasn’t expecting much of the meal , however the meal was lovely all fresh veg and plenty of it , we then ordered deserts , waffle for the husband and strawberries for me , was not disappointed, at £10.20 for two courses it was delicious, thank you to the friendly staff and we will be back

Let's be brutally honest. The Royal Oak has been a below par pub for many years, however, with recent closures of all the local pubs in Greenfield and a few up in the thectown of Holywell, there is no other option. The Royal Oak has long been overdue a makeover, even since our initial wedding breakfast back in the Summer of 1995. The pictures attached to the website are very much out of date and taken in absolutely the best of angles as it is.We only went for a post funeral wake, and most of the family were not impressed, but as we say, nothing else available. Sorry, but it's honest, if only my opinion.
