I stayed here last night and this morning there was no hot water, even an hour after they said it would work it was still cold. They gave me a URL to put in my complaint to guest services, that form does not work. Very poor experience.

Not the best first impression as car park full of McDonald’s rubbish, which was still there the next morning.Reception helpful and friendly, we needed an iron and board which they provided.Handy to have the Beefeater over the road so we dined there. Some signs of wear in the bathroom and bedroom, though bed was comfy and bigger than expected.Would be nice to have a dairy free milk option in the rooms.Bathroom small for a family room and the door lock didn’t work.Nice big tv and room was warm

Cath the Receptionist was wonderful. We had a problem with my booking. At our end not hers but she went out of here way to help. 5 stars for Cath. Jess and her team work hard and long hour to sort out my booking.(which was not their problem), Any requests that i asked for my stay was look into and if the team could help it happened. I am more then happy and will be staying here again and again thank you team jess.

Room very tired and damp coming through the walls. The room smelt musty. Confusion on checking in and not enough staff, just one on duty when the hotel was full for a Rugby weekend.

Arrived at this hotel on the 30th September and was given room number 28. After inspection of the room we quickly realised the place smelt of strong damp. Looking in the corners of the room there was mould spores. The whole room smelt like two day old washing left in the washing machine. My wife refused to stay in this room. I went to reception and told them the room was unacceptable. I was told the hotel was fully booked and there was no other room. I made it clear that I suffered from asthma And I could not stay in this room or I may bring on an asthma attack still I was told there was no other room and there was no manager so I handed in the keys even though we was booked for two nights stay and found myself another hotel which was best western, which was far more superior. Also all the walls externally were very damp and had substantial amount of brick salt .Upon this experience, I will not be choosing Premier Inn in a hurry.

Basic rooms (pump soap only in bathroom, no other hair or body products) but very clean and comfy. Bed was comfortable, thoughtful touch with makeup mirror, hair-dryer and space for hanging clothes. The breakfast is really good. Recommend.

We had to travel from King's Lynn in Norfolk to Newport (over 200 miles) to visit my wife's elderly sister in hospital following a fall and sepsis diagnosis. We booked and paid for a room online for the night of October 26th and received email confirmation. However when we arrived the room had not been paid for and the confirmation email we received was in fact a scam. My wife was very distraught at this difficult time, and the only option was to pay again for a room. The receptionist on duty (Lloyd) was extremely helpful and sympathetic despite some argument that developed. We were advised to contact Central Reservation who stated that no room had been booked or paid for. It was then obvious that we had been scammed. We are now in the process of reclaiming the initial payment through Barclaycard. We would just like to thank Lloyd for his calm and professional manner throughout the ordeal - he remained helpful and friendly at all times. He is a great asset to Premier Inn! Thanks again Lloyd!Noteworthy details: Excellent customer service!

Amazing staff, good facilities, clean and comfortable rooms - a tad on the warm side, but there is a fan in the room. Usual Premier Inn facilities available (24hr reception, unlimited tea and coffee consumables, room service available, vending machine etc). Plenty of parking and ideal location for Newport and surrounding areas. Would definitely stay here here againFood & drinks: Beefeater onsite with great food. McDonald's also next door and a Costa coffee on the opposite side of the road. 24hr vending machine in reception too along with unlimited tea/ coffee for your roomNoteworthy details: Make sure you register your number plate to avoid a PCN

Only stayed for a short time but the staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions and with adding extras for the rooms. The room was very hot but fans were provided.

Easy to get to location, friendly staff and a nice night's sleep. Room was nice other than the stains on the sofa area.Rooms: Nice room, bed very comfy. Could have done with more tea and coffer in the rooms but reception supplied more. There doesn't appear to be working air conditioning or heating in the rooms. There was a fan and a small heater though and it wasn't that cold either even though it was a cold nightFood & drinks: Next door beefeater was very nice. Good service and food

Not the usual Premier Inn quality. We've stayed in plenty all across the UK but unfortunately this is one we would not come back to. The positives were that all staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast at the attached Beefeater was nice and a decent selection at a standard price. The negatives - rooms are extremely hot and although it is advertised as no air conditioning the room temperatures are unbearable during warmer days (we had closed curtains, fans provided and cotton sheets. The staff do their best and also provide fresh cold water in reception 24hrs.The entire building is in need of TLC the outside is very dated and could at least do with fresh paint, the interiors were also below the standard with the windowsill damaged and mouldy. Also on a minor note the TV seemed to only have a handful of working channels out of the huge selection on the guide.A note for people thinking of the evening meals at Beefeater, these are priced fairly high and there are much nicer and also cheaper options within driving distance.Overall a disappointing stay and we would have liked to cancel our 2nd night but were advised it was too late. To end on a positive, thank you to the staff for doing what you could during the heat and helping us with our 6 month old.
