The food was delicious. I have had carbonara all over the world and this was as good as the best I've had in Italy. My husband had a fish food pasta, he said from the first mouthful there was wonderful fishy taste, he loved it, even though he is a steak guy. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. When I asked which way something was prepared, as I liked one and not the other, I was asked which I would prefer. That has never happened to me before! We did discuss food quantity and decided it was average for an Italian restaurant. As a lady it was too much for me and I saw someone leaving with a doggy bag. My husband felt it was just OK but exactly what we get elsewhere. It is not a heaped plateful but what Italian does that. The other consideration is the environment, it is like being in someone's house for dinner. It is not a modern plush restaurant. The excellent food and service made us feel we would return no matter the surroundings. There was background music that was not over powering, so you could have conversations with ease. Highly recommended if you like great real Italian food served with a willing smile.

Good traditional Italian restaurant. Food was tasty and well presented and food and wine were of high quality. Service was excellent. Staff found a table for us at short notice even though they were very busy. Definitely recommend giving Mamma Rosa's a try!

Popped in here on the off chance of fitting us in before going to the theatre to see Dawn French. Lovely small restaurant service was great attentive. We shared charcuterie board to start delicious & mains were just as good. Can highly recommended here.

Lovely food and customer service. Reasonably priced. Couldn't really comment on atmosphere as we were the first table in there. Would definitely return. Thank you.

Went here following review at 4.5 stars . First and will be the last visit here . Resturant looked clean , presented fair . The service was good , friendly and pleasant . Menu was basic compared to other Italian s we have been too . The portions were very small , most of pasta got lost under the sauce ! Our meals lacked taste for Italian food ,, and didn’t look very appetising . The portion size was not adequate as too small and We left feeling still hungry. We will not be recommending to family or friends very overpriced for what it was .

Really enjoyed our meal here. I had the cannelloni (delicious) and my partner a pizza. Starters were also really nice and good size. Service was friendly, we had booked a table earlier in the day.

First time here & we were fitted in on a late booking, such great staff, helpful.friendy and a lovely atmosphere, nothing too much trouble with changing parts of dishes, we weren't rushed despite a big booking upstairs. We will be back!

Disappointed in the meal and we are local and had heard good reviews. I ordered the seafood pasta and am not a big eater but could not believe how small the portion was.The two other mains were small but just about acceptable. It felt like they had run out of pasta. Shame as it was tasty. After the main we decided to pay up and leave. Never ever been to an Italian and felt hungry afterwards . We really wanted to enjoy this but it felt expensive and a bit of a let down .

Small but friendly restaurant. Despite looking a little untidy around the entrance we decided to eat dinner there. Food was served hot and very good. The wine list was also good. Chloe, our waitress was charming and looked after us well.
