Just had steak and eggs with chips and salad (with a dressing).Wasn’t holding out for success with the way I like my steak… boy was I wrong!!!It was one of the BEST steaks I have EVER had - anywhere! Given that I’m getting on a bit now, there was plenty of competition.It was tender, cooked to perfection, just fabulous!If you like steak, GO THERE AND GET ONE!You will not be disappointed

Went in for a ham, lettuce and tomato, and slice of onion bap. Hardly any ham and a half of root of the lettuce was on it- this cost me £4.70 -the prices have gone up so much there so will probably not go again.

As I'm often in c-y-d branch, I thought I would "sit in" for a change at Lloyd St.BIG MISTAKE.Went in and checked out the menu, looks good, waited to be served.Still waiting after a few mins, staff passing me. I put coat on chair and wait some more, new staff being "shown the ropes" other staff passing and ignoring me.At this point I thought "STUFF IT, I'll go to Gerards" Service there was as usual very good. Next time I want Hambone food I'll go to Craig y Don.

The first bite transcended me into a world of flavour, it felt like I was falling in love for the first time again, the rush of hormones, the adrenaline that fuzzy feeling in your stomach all from a menu which they custom made for me due to my dietary requirements. The waitress made for a fabulous dining experience with her joyous smile and charming attitude even playing relaxing music for us. In conclusion my first time visiting the hambone will certainly not be my last, they have warned themselves a new customer and I hope that you take my advice and visit for yourself. You won’t regret it.

Visited today and have never been before First of all, wow the choice. A huge variety of options. Everything from pizza, burgers, paninis, fish and chips to deli sandwiches and pork pies. There was so much choice that we had a burger and chips for lunch then took a sandwich each and a pork pie home too. Secondly the portions. I was so full after lunch I had to leave my sandwich till after dinner time. Thirdly quality and cleanliness. The food was good all round everything was crisp and fresh and the shop was beautifully presented. Fourth. We were in awe with the choices so the staff were super friendly and helpful and also helped suggesting items. They also kept our take away options in the fridge until we left. We had food bought to the table and asked if we wanted sauce. Staff seemed very happy and helpful which is lovely to see. What an amazing place that ticked all the boxes. I’m hoping our next visit will be just as good.
