Went for tea and scones, they don’t take card? Scones were microwaved? No clotted cream it was just whipped cream in a bowl? ATM was down so had to leave to get cash, also they didn’t have our orders on the system so had to tell them what we had, could have just said we had nothing ? Really not great won’t be going back, who microwaves a scone? It goes soggy?

A great find in Llangollen. We have been here twice and had great and service wonderful food. The potions a re good and the standard high. The first vist we spent sat outside watching the water fall. We went inside the second time as it was cold but the view and welcome from the staff was just as ward and friendly. Looking forward to our next visit.And it is dog friendly.

Really disappointed. Food was ok, service good, but if you are ‘cash only’, you should highlight this outside so people know before they come in, not see some tiny sign once they have ordered. What galled me more was the fact that they had a cash machine inside that charged you to take money out to pay them in cash!! I guess this paid the income that they receive for ‘hosting’ the cash machine!! Won’t be returning!

Always great home cooked food. The chicken chorizo is to die for.Just been in for another awesome nega breakfast. Tastes even better when you have it at 5pm. Sat at the table overlooking the River Dee. Awesome spectacle when the river is fast flowing.

Unfortunately we only had a Hot chocolate drink so didn't eat here. But the food looked really good and the place was pretty full which was a good sign. The staff were really friendly and it was a lovely clean place.

What a fantastic cafe!!Amazing food friendly and welcoming staff, fantastic coffee! Also very family friendly.Yet the most amazing feature is the view alongside the river!There is no parking and it is cash only! Nearest cash point is near the spar shop!Toilets available.Would highly recommend!

Wow! The food is delicious and really good value and they have really generous portions. We loved it! And it looked like everyone else in the cafe loved it too. If you get a window seat you also get a great view of the river. Well done “Team Dee Side Bistro”!

We have been coming to Llangollen for a few years now, and this is the only cafe/ bistro we go to while here!We have been staying in a nearby B&B this week and have been going to The Deeside for cream teas and dinner every day this week! The food is always fresh and tastes amazing. The staff have been friendly chatty and helpful.There is a large selection of food and drinks available, and the staff are always happy to make recommendations.This place is dog friendly, with the staff sitting you appropriately to keep some distance between the dogs so everyone can enjoy the atmosphere. The staff asked before interacting with our dog (he is young and fine with other dogs and people), but it was great they asked and even gave him some biscuits when we were paying fir his good behaviour.Everything is reasonably priced and has great value for money. We can't wait to go back!

Food was great. Staff were all very friendly. No fault in the service. We were a group of 22 with only 20 seats available. So we had to improvise. We did get an extra chair when we started eating.The biggest disappointment is that it is cash only. The room got a bit stuffy with so many people eating.

We were amazed by the outstanding service, the staff managed to rearrange tables to secure us seating for 5 and served us very quickly since we had let them know we had a train to catch. Portion sizes fabulous and prices extremely reasonable. I had a lamb baguette from the specials and it was very tasty- everyone else enjoyed all theirs too but we struggled to polish off the plates due to generosity of serving sizes!!Fantastic choice and great venue with a cracking view of the river by the window seats.Only thing is that it was cash only !!! If my parents weren’t there with their wallets and emergency funds, would’ve been an issue

Delightful setting so close to the River Dee. Clean with a calm atmosphere. The food was delicious, We went for breakfast, had full English which was hot and tasty so good that we went back in the evening. I had gammon steak which was huge, delicious and well cooked. My husband had tagliatelle which was plentiful and delicious. The blackcurrant cheesecake finished the meal off wonderfully, husband had carrot cake which was gorgeous with ice cream. Lovely coffee, very attentive staff, polite and friendly- definitely recommend this bistro
