Very disappointed to hear that my son and his pregnant wife were told off by the landlord after my son kissed his wife on her face after he won at pool. They were told to do their kissing and cuddling at home !!!!’ We as family have dined and drank at this pub for almost 20 years. Never again.

The food was lovely however I have never felt more uncomfortable in a place in my life.Me and my cousin decided to go for food, we rang up and booked a table but when we arrived I have never felt so awkward in my life first of all we was met with can you put your mask on boys when we replied we was exempt we was looked at in disgust and had “well I can hardly call you a liar.” when in-fact he was calling me a liar. We then went and sat at our table when we then overheard the what I presume owners slagging us off saying well they said they was exempt and something else but I could not hear them, at this point I was about to get up and walk out but in all honesty I was absolutely starving and everywhere else was full when we rang up The woman came over very quick and said “are you having a drink boys” so we ordered our drinks and roasts what came pretty quick and was a nice meal to be honest as we was eating the one and only other table was just finishing the server was very polite to them, asking them they wanted deserts etc. But then when it came to us our table was just silence.No one asked how our meal was I asked could I have a desert menu and I was just ignored. We sat at the table for another 5/10 minutes to see if she would bring the menus over but became pretty clear she wasn’t. Having been to 1000s of restaurants all over Europe, worked in the hospitality industry most of my life I can honestly say I have never seen so much disrespect and bad attitude. I have never, ever In my life refused to pay for a meal and never would especially with how hard the Welsh hospitality is being hit at the moment but I very much begrudged paying for this meal. Kindness, people skills & not being rude and judgmental go a long way.

Loved it, our new local... Bar , restaurant and lovely outdoor area.Neil, Emma and staff all accommodating.... Had 2 meals there so far - A lovely traditional Sunday lunch and last evening 2 meals Homemade Steak and ale pie and a Lasagne ... in all honesty the prices can initially be a little off putting as the prices are similar to our nearby Seaview dining places, BUT now seen, and eaten its absolutely justified... quality and quantity.... Booking in advance required at present.

Lovely staff, we ordered steak. It came piping hot and looked well presented. It was divine, melted in the mouth, cooked spot on. Best presented and tasting steak dish i ever had. Definitely worth a stop.
