A late visit on a dreary February Sunday, nothing as too much. Great atmosphere, food and staff were attentive - one of the best Sunday Dinners I’ve had in while!

We had a table booked for 10 people at 6.30 , tables were dirty, had to ask waitress to clean , not enough forks on table ,she said would do look for some ,she brought some 20 mins later , drinks order wasn't taken untill 7pm and then missed out x2 people ,had to go back and ask waiter to come back which he did.Food order was taken at 7.05 ,greatAt 8.10 still no food or update from staff .we asked for the deposit back which reserved the table .It's seems lacks a experienced leader front of house .Perhaps should revert to just been a pubWe won't be returning

A disappointing day where we were forgotten about by staff, food wasn't great and tables left uncleared for hours so we cleared our own. We are still waiting for the cocktail menu we were promised even now, so again we went looking for ourselves. Cocktails were lovely, although missing refresher sweets as they didn't have any! The food was OK, just not what we expected, and didn't meet the standards that it used to be. Our group was here for 5 hours, and between us, we spent over £350 and watched the disorganised chaos go on around us. Don't think we will be rushing back, which is a shame as we have loved this place over the years.

Wetherspoons quality food at 3x the price. Service was okay, but the non-existent “refurb” doesn’t seem to have changed anything. Such a shame as this used to be the best around. Burgers were not handmade, microwaved bacon and a dry curry with frozen (definitely not fresh) veg. The cocktails are decent but the food has gone so bad over the years.

Went in today for lunch and the service, atmosphere, food were all amazing.Staff were attentive, friendly and professional. Super impressed that our server didn’t need to write our orders down and got them all correct when brought out to us.Hair straighteners in the ladies and any products that you could need too was an additional nice touch. I’d highly recommend. ❤️

Vegetarian options: Vegetarian curry was awful. Went for my girlfriend's birthday. Big family meal. Tiny bit of curry next to some packet rice. She is a vegetarian so we all felt bad.

We had pan Fried Salmon with Noodles and Three Meat Roast. Both were excellent highly recommended, polite and friendly service.

Reopened and loved our meal. I ordered the mini gammon, and it was far from mini. It was massive. I couldn't finish it, so I brought it home with me. Service was excellent, although I would say they didn't ask about allergys. One of us did have an allergy to certain foods so this is something we look for when ordering.
We have been to the fat boar a number of times over the years, I think its fair to say 2023 wasn't great, we experienced good and bad.We visited again over Christmas for a few drinks, service was good drinks were good so we booked in for food and drinks last night, from the moment we walked in josh was amazing, we felt welcome he sorted drinks out, service through out the night was spot on and the food was also spot on, we had a great night.Thank you to josh and all the team it feels to us that the fat boar is back on top of its game. Keep up the hard work.

Food was mostly nice, lovely steak and Mac and cheese. Chips over cooked and not thick chips as advertised and very greasy onion rings. Some issues with what deals were on we weren’t the only table having issues. No snickers for the snickertini disappointing and not as nice as usual. Manager didn’t seem bothered.Then mix up with bill at the end but the waitress who was lovely and had been all evening quickly rectified it. Gutted it wasn’t as good as we thought as we were so excited about it reopening.
