A large group of friends stumbled across this lovely pub. We had dogs with us so we sat outside in the garden which was ideal. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. There is a varied menu from small snacks through to full meals and a well stocked bar with seasonal specials such as mulled wine available too. Despite us turning up without booking all of our food and drinks arrived quickly and were very tasty. A real gem of a place and we’ll certainly be back when we’re next in the area.

What a great find! Our gang of 17 arrived to this gorgeous pub after a beach walk. Very welcoming and accommodating staff, dog friendly, cracking pints and beautiful food. Quick service and the staff really couldn’t do enough for us, even though we were big in numbers! Thanks very much!

We’ve been visiting Newport for 7 years now we always make several visits to the Castle. Last night ( 10th) we took our young Labrador in for her first ever visit. The hospitality was superb the food and drink out of this world as usual. Thank you to all we will be back before we go home
