Each course was expertly crafted with the finest ingredients, showcasing the skill and creativity of the talented chefs behind the scenes.To start, we savoured a delightful amuse-bouche that awakened our taste buds with its intricate flavours and textures. Jusr experienced the most wonderful Afternoon Tea (probably in the whole world!) Absolutely amazing and every layer was devine. Beautifully served and each dish had a full explanation. A wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Thank you Gem42.

FABULOUS!! The best meal I have ever experienced and it is an experience!!My daughter took me for Mothers day and we had tasting menu with wine. Each course was introduced by the chef and each course was a masterpiece in both taste and artistry.Pebbles which looked like real stones were in fact crispy shells filled with creamed oysters. A small tomato was a selection of heritage tomatoes distilled down and remade into a tomato in its own right. The wine pairings were fantastic and perfectly suited to each course.I really cannot praise this restaurant enough. Bravo

Literally one of the best dining experiences of our lives! Myself and my husband went to celebrate our anniversary and from the minute we walked in the door the service was impeccable! I cannot even find the words to describe just how incredible the food was! Every dish was superb with a burst of flavour and explained beautifully by the chef. I cannot wait to go back! One of the best dining experiences, no fault to be found. Thank you for creating the perfect ambience, the most wonderful food and impeccable service! We absolutely loved every minute.

We booked when in Newport for a visit because of the excellent reviews. We had the shorter tasting menu with matching wines. We had an excellent evening, and will recommend and return. This was due to several factors. The ambience, relaxed, and classy, tables given space, even though it’s a small place. The service. Exceptional. From entrance to exit. We felt valued, important and welcome. The food. Brilliant. So tasty and imaginative. It was a delight to eat dishes I wouldn’t have the time or ability to cook myself. It felt a special occasion, it was a lovely experience and we hope to return. Certainly will be our first choice if in Newport again.

We have just had the finest meal of our lives, with every course an amazing combination of incredible flavour and technical skill. The team were brilliant, friendly, attentive, and rightly proud of what they deliver. We have travelled down from Edinburgh for the rugby this weekend and already thinking that we need to come back in 2 years time just for another meal here.

We had the Chef Signature menu and paired wines and we will be talking about the dishes for quite some time! As others have said we feel sure Michelin will get this place in the book soon.
