Disgusting fish was over cooked the batter was so hard couldn't eat it, the peas was thrown all over the chips some of the chips were green and most of them had eyes in

Great place, was recommended in the visitors book at our Airbnb, very friendly welcoming place, the two lads serving were gorgeous in every way. We felt so welcome. The food was excellent, fish was cooked fresh so expect a little wait but it's well worth it. Clean, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, very reasonable price, we come from Oxfordshire so much cheaper than we would ever pay and expect quality. Dog friendly Which ment the friendly locals all paid us attention. Can not fault the guys, the bonus being how charming they are.

Half way through our meal and we found a hair (not the head variety) in my husbands meal. Put us all off eating anymore of the meal. Very disappointed and would not recommend

Had scampi and chips.The scampi were of a very poor quality. The chips were greasy and went to mush. I will not visit again.

My family ordered a mixture of items, cod and chips were great, unfortunately the scampi wasn’t so much, although I have to credit their fantastic service as upon raising this to staff they couldn’t have been more helpful in making sure I got the food I wanted and was satisfied. Thank you to the staff for resolving the issue so well and for the great service.

Used to do nice hot dogs , grumpy staff member told me today they had stopped doing them. So I went to Jenkins and had really nice roll , really nice staff in Jenkins couldn’t recommend enough , ps grumpy chip shop didn’t even have onions for a cheese burger , no excuse what with being next to co op , and this was at ten past 12 in afternoon , I mean they don’t open till 12 ?

This fish and chip shop has gone right downhill. Ridiculously expensive and the food is of poor quality. If you're lucky you may even get what you've asked for but we didn't. Asked for gravy and got curry, absolutely terrible. The fish has gradually got smaller and smaller while the price rises, tonight we paid £6.30 for a large fish and it was pathetically small. Rissoles which were probably vegetarian, no evidence of meat at all. We won't be back.
