What a beautiful coffee shop and bar, situated at the best view in Newport! On a clear day the vista of the western valley is amazing. Great place to exercise yourself and the dog before heading for a creamy latte.I've watched this place grow since it opened from a public toilet to a cafe. Now it has quaint private booths that you can use for 40 mins or rent for longer...I've seen a few negative reviews, what more do people want, some people think they're looking for a Michelin Star in a busy bussling café, please look at the big picture of the views, the drink, the exercise and relaxation you can have! Stay humble and be thankful! In my humble opinion, this is the best café bar in Newport. Shame it's not open for longer than 6 pm, as I would use it until darkness to watch the sun go down. You'll love the place, friendly staff, speedy service plus you can have a wine or beer.Parking is free and plentiful.MOST IMPORTANT TO ME, IT'S DOG ? FRIENDLY ???❤️

Popped in, en route home from central Newport after staying over for the Wales v France 6 nations match (2024).Slightly disappointed that there were no actual cooked breakfasts on the menu, as were recommended for this. However, the Bacon/Sausage sarnie was pleasant enough and not too expensive compared to 'home'The dear other half was not impressed by the Veggie Sausage sarnie, though (not a Vegetarian, but fussy with processed meat). Was more like a 'bubble n' squeak' patty, than any other form of Veggie sausage.Service was great and atmosphere was pleasant enough in the little 'pods' outside, which you can request to use, (for free for the first 40 mins).Pecan pie to takeaway was expressly consumed, when returned home after a 2.5 hour journey. Very nice, with a cuppa..

Unusual cosy lodges for up to six people for 40 minutes, available on request when ordering. Good coffee, small range of paninins etc..

Friendly staff, good coffee and delicious cakes. The café is lovely to sit in, great on a rainy day. Toilets were very clean and lovely to use.

Lovely place, food a little decadent, but really worth coming.

Nice place. Had a sausage sandwich, which wasn't good. High cost for a sandwich with bland cheap sausages.

First and last visit.Been reviewing cafes for a while. We went in trying their food .Decided to try a pod as the sun was out .We had sandwiches coffee two off us then decided to have cake and was told we had too pay £5 for another 40 minutes because we had been their for 30 minutes. My friend paid good job it was not me that went and ordered are cake .It was not busy so saw no reason why they wanted another £5 when we had been eating and drinking. We are parents off a outstanding cafe in Devon . I think the pods are a good idea but remember that your customers are your your bread and butter .

Had a nice cuppa before a walk along Ridgeway, then bought cakes to take home with us. Couldn't decide on one so took several, all turned out to be delicious.
