Well where do I start? I pulled up Outside “The Fork and Tune”, my first impression was this is an old Victorian pub in what looks like an old mining village but as I would soon find out it is so much more! I was welcomed by the Lovely Anja, who promptly showed us to our rooms (rooms being a understatement). Our rooms turned out to be what can only be described as a little apartment that would put most major city boutique hotels to shame. The decor was incredible with an eye for detail that is just staggering. The shower rooms are class and tasteful while being completely practical. We had a small kitchen area that had everything you could need for a stay with every utensil available. Now onto the Bed ….. only issue with the bed I can strain to think of, is its just to hard to want to get out of in the morning! No expense has been spared on that mattress. The whole venue is remarkable, from the friendly, welcoming owners, staff & clientele to the incredible venue its self. The outside area gives you views of the Welsh mountains and the bar has a quirky appearance that just keeps giving. If I had to describe The Fork & Tune in one sentence I would say “ Its like someone has picked up the legendary bars of Camden in the 90s (bars that inspired artist like Amy Winehouse, Blur and the legendary dance scene) and dropped one right in the middle of the Welsh countryside. I highly recommend this magical place. If you not only want somewhere to lay your head but also an experience that could just be the surprising highlight of your trip, then check this place out!

Brilliant landlord/landlady. Fantastic ambiance, everyone made so welcome! So refreshing!They had a Sunday lunch BBQ which was great quality food, well cooked and plenty of it.A lovely, happy place to visit. I'll visit again ?

Definitely my favourite local venue/pub. Always so friendly and relaxed. I always feel right at home there and have had many, many great nights in the Fork and Tune. Its a bit of a hidden gem in the south Wales valleys and if you're looking for something a little bit quirky and unique, this place is definitely worth checking out. They also have excellent live music on the weekends from rock to reggae to hip hop. The gigs are always very affordable.

Great pub and hotel, uniquely designed, but with great taste. The owners are amazing, and always ready to help.Went on a motorbike tour of Wales and staid at the bunkhouse, the setup is very cozy, we were allowed to park our bikes in the garden, nice and secure.Rooms, beds, shower and facilities were all very clean.Amazing garden, amazing food in the restaurant and a very pleasant stay.Everything is reasonably priced, and you will feel welcomed.10/10 would recommend. And definitely will return.

Great place for bikers and mountain bikers to stay, beds are really comfy, the food was amazing. Definitely be heading there again for my next tour around Wales.
