After a cliff top walk we stopped for lunch here, it's a beautiful spot and the weather was great so we ate lunch outside. We both tried the beer battered haddock, chips and peas. We don't often eat fish and chips as it's nearly always a huge portion that is swimming in a pool of grease. This was the nicest battered haddock that we've had, light, tasty and barely a trace of grease on the plate. So it has to be a 5 from us.

This is the perfect respite stop during a walk along the coastal path and is easily accessible from Cwm Yr Eglwys too. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with views over the beach I enjoyed a delicious slice of jaffa cake cake, and there were other tasty looking options too. The Americano I had was not the best, but it was a busy bank holiday weekend, and the restaurant was full! I would go back again for sure!

We wanted an evening drink in a quiet spot with a sea view. This was perfect! A quirky little pub, right on an uncrowded beach in a little cove. It closed quite early but there were very few people around. We told some friends about it and they went for lunch the next day and said the fish and chips were great.

Pub, it is not a cosy little bolthole fir a swift pint. It's a glorified café with beer. Poor experience told elsewhere. Poor/slow service. Poor vfm Poor food. All in all givenit the Spanish archer. On top of that the young snowflakes seem dead from the neck up.

We went for lunch on Tuesday 4 July which was not a particularly busy day given that it was midweek and term time. The queue at around 1 pm was out of the door and the nice and efficient guy alone at the bar was rather overwhelmed. The menu is very limited and my wife’s choice of a fish platter was sold out! So she had fish in batter instead which she said was not well cooked. I enjoyed a massive ploughman’s lunch with very generous amounts of proper cheese and good quality ham. It came with salad, slaw and an egg and was all very good. It has to be said that this place lacks the quality and cooking skills that were enjoyed by patrons of The Sailors Safety years ago.

A perfect location for this pub, which is somewhere we have been on a number of times, being locals. However our experience today will ensure we give the place a break. The lady behind the bar was rude and had no customer service skills. When the food eventually arrived it was cold. It’s not cheap either if you’re a family of four. Bringing a picnic might be a better option. On the other hand, we will compliment the gentleman who brought the food out to table. His manners & customer service were excellent.

Called in for lunch and it had a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food was delicious and nicely presented. The views were stunning and it had a nice area to sit out when it’s not raining.

We were in the area on holiday with family, my sister and family went to eat here one day but they had stopped talking orders. They spoke to the chap behind the bar who told them they had ran most things as they hadn't ordered enough fresh ingredients as they hadn't expected it to be as busy as it was. but they were impressed with the look of the place and the sound of the food and how fresh it must be. So they made us all go down early for lunch a couple of days later. To be fair the location and views were stunning but it was let down by everything else. It was like they were surprised to be busy even though it was a sunny day in the school holidays. Its a limited menu and when we went to order they had already ran out of 2 dishes. While waiting for our food we gave up trying to get a second drink as the que to the bar was so long and didn't seem to be moving. When the food did come mine and my daughters fish and scampi were very average but my wife's ploughman's was shockingly bad.

Fantastic fishfinger sanis didn't eat the rest of the day. Will be back in September. The service was so quick. Just what we needed after walking round Dina's head.

Nice pub. The fish finger sandwich and chips was really good. A hot chocolate after a circular walk was well needed. The cakes looks pretty good too.

This is a wierd one, as its a past review. Came upon it around 35 years ago (at least), amazing rock jukebox, pool table, friendly landlord and clientelle, stayed all afternoon. Obviously it has been very primped up and modernised and sadly renamed, but wonderful to see it still there and very much still running, well done you lot. X

As you come off the coastal A487 you would never think that you would find the perfect pub at the end of the road next to the beach. Visited a couple of times now, whether your warming up next to the fire watching the waves crash into the rugged cove, or cooling off with a cold one in the heat if the summer, you will not be disappointed. Great menu - not too big so you know it's all fresh and not all freezer food, great selection of drinks, including ales and IPAs, wines and spirits..and the staff are so friendly too
