Nice little bar which is part of the hotel. Descent selection of tap beers with one real ale available. TV on the wall showing the football. Nicely decorated, clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and the beer was good. Good visit.

Fantastic budget hotel. I was with my dog and this place is great. Room wasClean and serviced. Water and biccies provided in the room. Hot shower, WiFi and tv. Don’t be put off by the tired look. It offers good value for money. Breakfast was really good too.

Had a carvery here. Food was outstanding. Everything cooked to perfection. Service was quick attentive. A good selection on the menu. Place needs a revamp. But there was nothing you could improve on the food.

Called in for Sunday lunch (not booked) choice of meats, yorkshire, mash, toasties, stuffing ball, carrot & swede mash, cabbage, parsnips, cauliflower cheese and of course gravy. They ask you what you want and plate but we did hear people asking for more mash etc so accommodating. Had a good plate full and no room for dessert for us or anyone else around us.

Catherine was great today went above and beyond to help. Even though she was very stressed she still put the customers priorities first. Great member of staff.Parking: Spaces on the street, had no issues with parking.
Was lost and no one was taking us in for food, then gazed upon the Alex, and we had some lovely grub and fast service at good prices. Would recommend
