Brillant pub from an Australian. Foods great, with spectacular men behind the bar. Locals will make anyone feel welcome. Pet friendly which just adds a brillant atmosphere and more friends. Foods worth more than it is and homemade, not a single thing fronzen!Ps. If you are from Australia be prepared to get some flack (Dai I'm talking to you) but give a little bite back and all is laughs, its great. Couldn't recommend it enough!

A very friendly traditional pub where we were made very welcome. The bar staff were great and the locals friendly, even the dog was made a fuss of. Great place to watch the Rugby too. Didn't get to eat there but food being served around us looked great. All in all a great experience, especially for my partner who had left the area 50 years ago. We'll definitely visit again when we're next in the area!

Fantastic meal. The guy behind the bar was really nice and helpful (didn't get a name) and the food was amazing. Good portion sizes and fairly priced. I had the soup of the day and mushroom stroganoff (both amazing) and my friend had the burger.

Entered to find aged barman with long white hair just leaving the bar he asked "what do you want" drinks and a menu please "in or out" as we couldn't see a beer garden we were confused so said in, we asked about a table we couldn't see a reserved on but he rudely told us it was hence the sign on it which we couldn't see as it was facing the wall. We had one drink and left and spent every night of our holiday in The Watermans where the staff were friendly.

Went to this lovely old pub for dinner for two nights in late August. Had a warm greeting and felt like welcome visitors. The food was traditional home made pub grub which was delicious. The chips were the main delight - chunky and tasty! It would be nice to see more Welsh brewery ales on the beer menu but this was a great place for a real, local welcome. Remember to ask for a plastic glass if you want to sit outside and enjoy the scenery of the river and castle.

Standard pub food. Service was good. Small pub but right next to Pembroke Castle.

Historic, welcoming, homely. I had a light bite lunch and pot of tea for midday lunch, served well. Being next to a magnificent castle, waiting to be discovered, surrounded by tidal seawater, interesting and lovely to be there.Vegetarian options: Without having experience of other meals I can say that the barman taking orders is only too ready to assist

Friendly pub, amazing food. We popped in for some lunch not knowing what to expect and we are so glad we did. Amazing menu with lots of tasty choices, we all had something different and all four of us really enjoyed it. Would definitely return if we are ever in the area again!

Very friendly pub, great choices on the menu to the point we couldn't decide what to have. Needed up choosing a chicken goujon wrap and a chicken stack burger, both were truly excellent. Lovely little pub to grab lunch highly recommend.
