We had a lovely meal here. It was our local to the holiday house we were staying at. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Food was fresh and very tasty, prices good. Would definitely return and recommend.

Absolutely love this place! The welcome is warm, good food cooked well. We had the grilled fish - how they cook it so moist is an absolute mystery to me but it really is the bees knees! Today was a personal favourite as we were first to order and the fat was new the chef reassured us that we could have their lovely chips with our meal - usually have their new potatoes (lovely too) I'm coeliac and feel completely safe here as the staff know their food, premises and are knowledgeable and understanding of my difficulties. So lovely to come back here ? They're dog friendly which is a great pull especially with so many great walks on the doorstep. Would thoroughly recommend in a heartbeat!

I was staying in a cottage local to the Freshwater Inn and we decided to visit with our dogs to get some food. The owner and the staff were very welcoming and friendly and the food was amazing, there was enough choice and the food was hot and tasty. We will definitely be visiting again before we go back home.

Appalling. The fish and chips came almost certainly out of the freezer, maybe from Tescos or similar, and the lamb tagine was cooked by someone who had vaguely heard of spicy Mediterranean food. Lamb in spiced gravy and not good. The staff was nice enough, but had the charisma of a potato.Even the puddings/ Afters were barely above low average.

Nice view from a garden. If you go for a dinner better get early as on Sat by 7.30pm there was already a sign that stopped serving food. Was lucky enough to get there before 7.

Another fantastic experience at the Freshwater Inn!We've been coming here for years as not only is the food, staff and service fabulous they're dog friendly too. Can't recommend this place enough - I'm coeliac, my parents aren't. We've been fortunate enough to have eaten in a wide variety of restaurants covering food from all over the world. The Freshwater Inn offers good quality food, cooked well in a beautiful setting. The views over Freshwater are spectacular, especially in the evening.Good choice of wine, local breweries and soft drinks.Dietary restrictions: I'm coeliac and have felt incredibly supported as the staff are well versed on the ingredients of each meal, when they don't know they ask the chef direct. Very reassuring.

Really don't understand negative reviews. I've never seen so many interesting and creative veggie and vegan options on a country pub menu. I was very tempted by them, even though I'm not veggie or vegan. Went for the rabbit and bacon pie, a signature dish of the chef. It was excellent: really good pastry with generous filling, busting with flavour. Others in our group had veggie or vegan options which they thoroughly enjoyed. Excellent and cheerful service. Beautiful views. Lovely Welsh cider. What's not to like? It's a coastal gastro pub, not a plush city restaurant. Thoroughly recommended.

Limited vegetarian option. I had a veggie pie with chips and peas. Very dry meal. What a shame the meal did not have some sort of sauce to enable it to be swallowed. Plentiful portion, looked as if all had come straight out of the freezer. There was inadequate seating ( we were advised to book) as the place was busy. We ate outside on some inadequate, low picnic table seating. As I am 70 years old we did struggle to get up! The seating is sinking and needs to be looked at. My wife had the veggie chilli - she said it was not terribly thrilling. As we were staying a few days in the area, we chose to not eat here again. The service was good. A very busy pub.

A fantastic birthday meal for a very large group that other local restaurants don't seem to be able to cater for. The varied menu had something for everyone. The service was excellent as was the food.Vegetarian options: Quite a few options.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly.

A super meal with our young children. Very tasty home cooked food (we had veggie/vegan options of which there was a large choice), generous portions and friendly service. We sat inside by the window but looked a beautiful spot outside too. Will definitely go back.Vegetarian options: Super choice of veggie and vegan dishes. Vegetable Malaysian red curry was spot on!!

As a fellow attendee of the previously mentioned funeral wake, I felt compelled to write a review for the first time to share my own experience. The wake was held in the Freshwater Inn as it was a firm favourite of the deceased. It was a lovely buffet, of which I saw every attendant eat from. The staff were friendly, serving drinks and continuously helping with the buffet. Although a sad occasion, the staff here made us all feel welcome and comfortable, ensuring that the establishment was only open for those of us who were there for the wake. What a lovely place, I can see why she loved spending time here. I can’t believe that someone would take the time to be disrespectful towards an event that was organised very carefully by the family themselves.
