I was very happy with the service we had. Unfortunately due to a technical problem the venue was unaware of my online booking but this was not a problem and the staff were very quick to adjust tables and seat us (party of 12 with a wheelchair user). The staff were very happy and made us feel welcome including my children (aged 10 and 4). Everyone enjoyed their meals and had a good time. Made a family get together pleasant! Thank youParking: Plenty of parking and spaces for disabled tooKid-friendliness: Plenty of options in the menu for children and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Some food wasn’t available but they helped me find an alternative.Wheelchair accessibility: No issues with access for the wheelchair user in our group.

We popped in for the first time lunch time as was in the area, was a nice place, very quiet, and we only had a drink each, which we all enjoyed. As I was driving I had a pint of pop, I do wish that pubs in general should charge a lot less for non alcoholic drinks then they do.Would go back again, and perhaps try the food, carvery looked nice .

This place has gone down hill.Just been for a carvery, 3 of us. Service was very slow, had to remove carrots from our plates as they were off, vinegary taste and a coating on them. Told the carvery man who removed them and fresh ones were put out, not that we had any. Everything is just dirty to look at, I had to clean my cup before I could drink my tea. Doors are dirty to push and pull open. Just a dirty feeling. We won't be returning, which is a shame as we've used the Margam deer for 7 years.

Busy restaurant quite on the night but only 2members of stuff running bar cleaning up carrying food and petting a dog and calling the quize. The floor behind hot counter was full of food the sauce unit was filthy. Not everything on the menu. Overall a bad experience won't ve returning. No dipping sauces with 3burgers ordered side of onion rings never came but on request cost was deducted from the dessert which was by far the best dish. Guy on bar was doing his best but really needed more staff on shift.Vegetarian options: Shame the cheese potatoes and leek pie was not available that's tastiest sounding veggie dish on menu.

Came for Christmas Dinner, never again! Food was shocking all veg was rock hard so bad that not even the knife would cut through the cauliflower, peas were like bullets. Gravy was like water and no flavour, and the meat well.. 2 small slithers you pay all that money you expect so much better especially for Christmas day!The wait to get a drink was ridiculous one person working the bar on such a busy dayShocking.....

Six of us had lunch on Christmas day Dec 2023 in Margam Deer, brilliant service, food was excellent. Well organised from the time we sat at our table until we left there at teatime. We like to thank all the staff for a lovely Christmas afternoon.

Been to breakfast with santa with yourselves twice now. 1st time was outstanding the set up the gifts the food all perfect... this year. Breakfast for adults didn't even include a coffee had to pay separate for instant coffee the santa didn't even engage with the children the gifts were not age appropriate massively overpriced for such a let down breakfast

Big shout out to Leon who helped us through the evening with our large group of 20! He helped us take the orders and made sure our needs were met and no one was overlooked. He was organised and most helpful. Thank you Leon! x

Don't trust their booking system. They cancelled our booking for 9 people on the morning of the meal! Outrageous treatment of customers

Food was not grate, you could not fault the staff, but the dinner tasted old dry and undercooked whilst having watery gravy, the roast potatoes were just awful dry and hard, I have been to this place before and didn't enjoy it then, it seems to have gotten worst. Won't be going again, which is very disappointing ?

A great pub experience in the heart of Port Talbot. Good food, friendly staff and a plush atmosphere. Well-priced and well-prepared traditional pub grub.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. I was going to have the carvery but the meat and veg looked as if it had been out for quite a while so we opted for the plated menu. I had the spicy burger and my partner had the southern fried Hunters chicken which we both very much enjoyed. It was all freshly cooked and just tasted wonderful so we'll Defford be coming back. Even my little dog enjoyed his freshly cooked sausage and helped me finish my burger off. Thanks guys!

Came earlier than booked, lady kindly fitted us in, even though it was very busy. Queue at the bar, so someone else jumped on to bring Queue down. Friendly bar staff. Carvery staff looked miserable. Carvery and veg well stocked, so was gravy. Meal was very tasty, best Carvery there in a while, not that I'm saying I've had a bad Carvery

Had an 8oz sirloin steak and honestly was like a rubber boot.. not the best at all.. although my wife had the chicken and bacon salad and said it was lovely.. and £7.50 for a glass of wine is over the odds.. all in all I'm not returning anytime

Festive Dinner. Could have been a lot hotter but was edible. A huge negative for us was a couple who brought in a large dog and sat opposite us. Dogs should not be allowed in restaurants where food is served. Completely unacceptable and we will not return.
