We were a group of 16 golfers visited this friendly Italian restaurant. We had the restaurant after 9.30 ish all to ourselves. The food was fantastic, excellent service and not too expensive. We were well looked after by Jane and Jen. Would definitely go back if in the area.

A first class meal for our anniversary, the meal was absolutely fantastic from start to finish and the service spot on, the flavour in the smokies is unreal ?? Thanks to Derek and Jane for fitting us in at short notice.

This place very kindly took our very large booking last minute and were fantastic. Food was delicious amd service friendly, highly recommend! Be warned though the spicy meatballs are very spicy!

Visited on Saturday night as we were up from Manchester for the weekend staying with our friend Rose. What a great choice!! We were greeted warmly despite being a little late, and shown straight to our table. Drinks were ordered promptly and we were very impressed with the quality and price of the house red. We had 2 asparagus starters between the 3 of us( they are massive and amazing!). Then we had the spaghetti gamberoni, bolognese and montradini- all were excellent and massive portions so we brought home what we couldn’t eat as they were too nice to leave! Have to mention the two young ladies waiting on, who couldn’t do enough for us ( including fetching a cushion for my husband who has hip problems and found the chair too low.) They are a credit to the restaurant- we will definitely be back next time we’re in town!!

Cosy and intimate, our fourth visit since we discovered what was on our doorstep! Every time the service has been friendly and efficient, and the food very freshly prepared and delicious. The menu has something for everyone, from pizza and pasta dishes to roast pork, duck , beef and veal as well as vegetarian options. Be warned that you'll need a hearty appetite to manage three courses (and I'm no lightweight). The wine list is quite extensive, and the prices reasonable, although a couple of beers and a handful of gin brands are also available. Two courses for two people, a bottle of wine and coffees cost £60. Booking essential.

I called to make a reservation for same evening. Left very clear details. Nobody called back. Called in when the opened and just got “oh yeah, we haven’t checked the messages”. Why bother having an answering machine!
