Horrendous place to eat…was greeted by someone saying there’s hardly any food in and we could order from somewhere else and bring it in which we did. The service was shocking and things like finding bits in our meals and then given a tea spoon for our desserts was a joke….had to ask to clear our tables when desserts finally arrived. ? this place will be closing soon

This place deserves less than 1 star. My family's 6PM reservation at Mash & Barrel in Presthaven turned into a nightmare. The table we were given was disgustingly sticky to the point where a paper menu was literally adhered to it. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, we found grated cheese on my daughter’s chair before we even sat down.We were then completely ignored for 20 long minutes. No one came to take our order, despite a server making eye contact and then choosing to serve people who arrived well after us. It felt like a slap in the face when she just walked off to chat with other employees instead of attending to us.Trying to sort this out, we flagged down the hostess, only to be told everything we’d decided on wasn’t available. When I tried to escalate the issue, there was conveniently no manager to speak to. The person at the bar was clueless and unhelpful, directing us to the Haven reception for complaints.The reception at Haven was a joke. The staff there were clueless and unhelpful. They offered no assistance, disappearing briefly under the guise of finding a complaints form, only to return empty-handed and without any sort of explanation.It’s clear this place is run by people who couldn’t care less about customer service or doing their jobs properly. They’re just there for an easy paycheck, with zero regard for the customers who are actually paying for that paycheck. Avoid at all costs unless you’re a fan of poor service, neglect, and a total lack of accountability.

I'm not at all a complainer, we went for a breakfast on 25/03/24And all I can say is wowI've had to make a account here to write this reviewThe whole thing was shockingVery very Cheap sausagesThat scrambled egg was rubber, looked like chickenThe fried eggs was a greasy stinky messBacon look as it'll it been on a hot plate for hoursHash brow- ya can't go wrongBeans- a thimble fullPut it this way I can eat a lot of food me and not fussy at allAnd 1st time in my life I left it!!!!And that plate was like £8.99Sort ya business out mash and barrel

Waited over 3 hours and still missing food of plates saying they only have chicken burgers for kids menu no lasagna no pizza nothing and only one drink and to top it of the manager of the place said he can’t do anything about it disgusting.There were two wonderful lads who deserve to be manager there names were Alex and Andre.And for the manager who was there ,should be sacked.

I went her with my family for breakfast it took nearly an hour for microwaved scramble eggs. The three full breakfast were wrong and took anotj 15 minutes to arrive. Tje sausages were microwaved and disgusting. Tried again at tea time, ordered at 5 pm food didn’t arrive till 630 after complaining twice. The two ultimate burgers were just burgers on a bun no salad ( staff said they had no salad ) no onion ring or coleslaw. This burger was 20 pound. The hunters chicken was two stud of chicken under disgusting microwaved sauce. The whole experience was extremely disappointing and not cheap. Go elsewhere if possible.

Breakfast order was incredibly stressful and chaotic, wrong breakfast came out twice and food was mediocre. Kids enjoyed the character visit during breakfast though, can’t fault the entertainment.

To start with, if i could pick 0 stars... i would. ?? The wait was OUTRAGEOUS, over 60 minutes!! One of the young children in our group even fell asleep whilst eating his cold food because it was 7:30pm!The food... barely anything! We were missing most of our burger toppings, and half of the mixed grill was nowhere to be seen!! The small ‘scoops’ of mash looked like they had been sat on! And to make the matters worse, most of everyone’s meals were completely cold!Also, waitressing staff were standing around not doing anything, seemingly, or walking around aimlessly. Whilst we sat at our table getting more and more hungry.Finally, the table was sticky and filthy when we turned up, and we didn’t have any fresh or clean cutlery until we had to find our own or ask for some!In conclusion, I definitely would not recommend to anyone to go to this restaurant unless they wanted to experience one of the worst “dining” experience ever. This was absolutely appalling, and we were even noticing that the tables around us were having the same issues as us, waiting even longer too! I am beyond disappointed. ?

Ordered full English breakfast. No tomatoes and mushrooms and no free tea with the breakfast . Poor service. Staff not helpful. I wouldn't recommend this mash and barrel. Not giving as requested at all. Table service poor. Not a great

Went for our last night for a family meal. I don't like to complain however I was extremely disappointed.The man who took my order didn't look interested to start, we waited an extremly long time for our food. We had no apology. The place was only half full so I dread to think how long it would of been if it was full. Our food arrived warm, not hot. Like it had been sat on the side for a while. The waiter had spilt my sons chips on his tray. We had all finished our meals and I had to get up and ask where an earth were his chips. I had ordered spag bol and wasnt asked if i would like some cheese. My garlic bread was over cooked and tough. No waiter came to ask us if everything was ok. We asked for some ketchup and was rudely told it was in the corner. As if we should of known. We had never been before! We had all finished our meals so i had to ask at the bar where the hell are my sons chips. Hes not even had his full meal then After then sitting and watching my son eat chips with all our dirty dishes still on the table we ordered dessert. She took our order at the table, you would of thought she would of cleared our table following this but no the dirty plates all remained. Mine and my husbands came and we got one kids dessert. And that wasn't correct. Obviously we would order 4 desserts not 3 with 4 on the table.. the waiter dumped them and we had to ask to take away our dirty plates. i then had to complain again at the bar our order was wrong because the waiter couldnt get away from our table fast enough Me and my husband finished our desserts and we had to then re ask where our the kids puddings, when they finally did my sons dessert had the wrong sauce on. By this point I just wanted to leave so they ate what they had.If you have children and they ask for cookies with chocolate sauce that's what they want. So you can imagine the moans I got. And to be fair I felt sorry for them. They was looking forward to there pudding. To a kid that's the best bit.Despite all the complaints I got offered no refund or anything back. We arrived at 5pm and ordered quickly. We did not leave until half 7. My kids were both bored and restless it was far too long and when we ordered we was not informed there was a wait on food. I had a better experience at burger King the night before.I do not recommend this place for a stress free meal out. I felt we all ate at completely different times and I didn't have a nice experience.All we had was two adult meals and two kids meals with four desserts. It wasn't a big order and we didn't change anything on the menu to complicate it.I also felt like the entire staff team were 16 year old teenagers who didn't want to be there.I will not be going again.

Over priced, small portions, and didn't have half of the things offered such as wafers for the ice cream and candy floss for the kids mocktail, but still served us the options before telling us they didn't have them.

By far one of the worst caravan site restaurants I've been to, we booked a table via the heaven app prior to our holiday as recommended but on arrival we were told that they didn't have a table for us, there were plenty of empty dirty tables around but no one was cleaning up, after 15 minutes we were sat and left to our own.I loaded the menu up via the app and ordered a burger for my daughter, my wife had lasagne, my son had popcorn chicken and I opted for sausage and mash, we also ordered 3 diet cokes and a squash.The burger and lasagne I'm told were fine as were the popcorn chicken however the mash on my plate was lumpy, flaky, had no flavour at all and was burnt to the bottom of my plate I would even say they had scooped it out of a baked potato, the sausage was the smallest of chipolatas and again had no flavour.On to the drinks, (see picture) I ordered 3 diet cokes at over £3 each and what came was a plastic cup with less than a can of cokes worth contained within, whoever poured or allowed this to be served should be ashamed of themselves, I know you pay a premium at a holiday park but this is ridiculous and we won't be buying food and drink on site again.

Ordered breakfast for 4 of us, was quite expensive too. Food arrived was barely warm. Food was rubbery, big breakfast which was £11 came without the mushrooms and tomoto and the cup of tea, we asked for the items twice, both times they said they would get them to us and they didn't! Didn't want to ask a third time and already finished so we just left. Will not be going here again in a hurry.
