We went to the Amroth Arms yesterday (23rd) for lunch and I have to say we were all very impressed with the food and service. We all had the fish and chips and it was faultless and the portions were so generous. Staff were very friendly, a lovely place to sit and relax, highly recommended ?

At 76 the first rule of hiking is to find somewhere flat as a pancake and the Pembrokeshire coastal path offers plenty of opportunities. But the walk from Saundersfoot to Amroth turned out to be a hilly challenge. So I arrived in desperate need of a pint and a good pub lunch. There’s plenty of choice in Amroth but we settled in the Amroth Arms - and it proved to be one of the very best choices of our holiday. A thirst quenching pint of the local Tenby brew really was nectar of the gods and the meal that followed was pure ambrosia. We both chose the Seafarer’s Basket consisting of deep fried cod chunks, salt & pepper squid, calamari , butterflied prawns and wholetail scampi with salad, chips and sauces. Every morsel was delicious and the calamari was the best either of us could ever remember eating. Our only complaint was that we’d eaten so much that we couldn’t face any of the delicious sounding puds. Sincere thanks to all the friendly and welcoming staff - and the chef. Couldn’t face that hilly walk back so we scrambled our way across the rocks on the beach. A perfect Pembrokeshire day.

Called at the Amroth arms for a couple of beverages on a hot Sunday around 16:30 and we were turned away because they close early they apparently make enough money on Sunday lunchtime and close early, very poor customer service and rude staff, wouldn’t recommend.

Staff are lovely! Friendly and helpful. Place is spotlessly clean. Great views. Good beer. BUT THE FOOD IS AWFUL! It's nearly all fish based. 16 quid for the squid based meal. Sparse portions. Really sparse (left feeling hungry) and it was awful. Someone needs to teach the chef how to cook squid, what little there was of it. Tiny portions. Horrifically overpriced and cooked badly. The portions in all the meals was ridiculously small when compared to the New Inn a few yards along the road. Minimal choice and terrible food. But the staff were wonderful and nice. We ate at 4 pubs in Amroth and this was by far the worse. And it's a shame because everything else was fabulous. Would not recommend for food and would never eat here again despite loving the pub. Rip off

Called in here for a drink whilst waiting for the bus, on a walking trip from Tenby. First impressions were how bright and clean it looked, both inside and out. Friendly service of well priced beer. Didn't eat, but the menu looked impressive and there appeared to be enough staff to cope with those who did. Would certainly visit again when I would hope to stay longer.

Great meal and service was very good. My mussels were plentiful with a great sauce. My wife had the Parmesan chicken which was very nice. We will certainly return

Evening meal on the Friday and lunch on Sunday. Both excellent quality meals and value for money. Staff friendly and attentive. What more could you want.

Without a doubt the very best food in Amroth (and indeed this part of Wales). Swift efficient service, fabulous menu choices and lovely welcoming staff. 5stars all the way!

This was a great spot for Sunday lunch after a walk along the beach. Loved the fact that every roast came with stuffing, Yorkshire and sausage! Well priced at £17.50 for a lamb roast and other meats were a bit cheaper.

Lovely, clean, well presented restaurant. We happened across it during a walk in the area and were very surprised when we wandered in - more in hope than expectation - to get a table as it was a Sunday afternoon. There were quite a number of members of staff behind the counter, which we thought was a little over the top given that only two other couples were eating! But within 10 minutes of us arriving, the place was nearly full. There was only Sunday lunch available and my husband had the beef; I had the vegetarian option (cheesy potato and leak pie). All the vegetables were beautifully cooked and there was plenty of variation. We would definitely return if ever in the area again - and would happily recommend to others.

Arrived at 6:30pm with our small dog (as the website and the cottage we were staying in claim they are dog friendly). When entering the pub, before we got to the bar we were told no dogs after 5:30pm so sit outside. I don’t know what they think dogs turn into after 5:30, but I will not be going back.

We stopped for lunch after a long walk so we were hungry. Ordered some crab sandwiches. They were delicious. The portion was generous and it was served with crisps and salad. Staff were very friendly. Place was very clean. A nice place to stop for lunch
