Great tapas but kept getting asked to leave a review by a member of staff which spoiled the night a little bit

We had a delivery in lockdown and the food was fantastic! Saw them advertising last month a pay £50 get a £100 voucher thought too good to be true. Booked in Sat 11th of Feb at 6.30pm. To review no drinks menu just Tapas menu. Ordered 6 tapas and a bottle of wine not sure what wine we had but had pretty warm not great. Calamari- was like kids fish bites. Chicken and cranberry woeful brisket was grim…. Aubergine and honey fries the highlight. The rest blended in…. Toilet in restaurant area bin overflowing could see used sanitary items. Restaurant itself needs a lick of paint with fills in holes on walls….. Im gutted as food we had a few years back was fantastic. Needs a good overhaul by owners. We spent under £60 of vouchers gave the staff the voucher and left…. I hate I’m writing this about an independent business but needs to be said.

Could not fault one thing from start to finish!!! Each member of staff were very welcoming and went above and beyond what is expected. We both had steak (cooked differently) and both were done perfectly to what was requested. Will definitely be returning.

Find it too noisy and small. Not fussed on menu (tapas) live music very good there.

We were a family party of 7, age range from 15 to 74. We had a very warm welcome and our server was extremely attentive. We had tapas starters which were hot and freshly prepared, all very tasty. We had the steak deal for mains, all different cooking times with variety of lovely sauces. Garnish was rocket, roasted baby tomatoes, homemade onion rings and bowl of chips. All well cooked, delicious and well seasoned. Couldn't fault it. Gill Davies

Came here for the tapas night and have also tried the Sunday dinner, the food never fails to impress and the staff and management are brilliant. The landlord was as helpful as possible and the staff were regularly checking in on us and topping up our drinks. I tried the chilli prawns, calamari and cockle popcorn which was delicious. I had the cheesy garlic bread and dirty fries to share with my partner alongside her own food, which again…. Was outstanding. I would 100 percent recommend coming here for food and even drinks again as the pub has a very good vibe and is full of lovely people. Will definitely be visiting again, thank you everyone at the Llynfi Arms.

Xmas eve tapas...maybe they had been busy, but half the small menu wasn't available.... basically had the food for a table of 6 brought out at different times, 2 people would eat but 4 would have to watch. It was basically all served on bread even the tacos turned out to be flattened bread.... awful service, staff so young but would no doubt be better if they had a bit of training. One offered to go to the fuel station down the road to buy diet lemonade bless her. Dining room dirty (stinking in fact) cobwebs been there so long they've gathered dust. Was good once, hopefully it will have a shakeup and get its act together.

Staff were happy to accommodate our party of 20 and were very attentive throughout the evening. Live music was perfect. Although rushed off his feet the manager still made time to check everything was ok, several times throughout the evening. Food was fantastic and complemented the atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed and will be back with the family. Thank you for a wonderful night.

The service tonight was awful. On arrival, we got put in the restaurant where we felt like nothing but an inconvenience. We got asked if we wanted more drinks, twice during the 3 and a half hours we were there. Our food order was taken, none of our food came out the same time. The tapas dishes took 40 minutes to come, nothing was brought out together. The steak orders weren’t correct. We paid the bill and asked to speak to a manager. The manager may as well have said he couldn’t care. I was palmed off and told to “come back, we will make it up to you”. I personally will not be coming back. Stewart, who was the “manager” on shift had awful attitude and was extremely rude because I am young. He said “do you not understand how tapas works” when I told him that the dishes took 40 minutes to come out. We had to ask for a side of chips that we ordered which didn’t come out until an hour after the food started coming out. Overall, it was poor service and I will not be returning.
