Worst customer service ever. If you could rate no stars then i would give zero stars. non-attentive, rude, food options never available

I shopped at the Wrexham store on 1st Nov 2023 and at 7pm there were NO manned checkouts open and customers were told they would not be opening one, so everyone (regardless of their trolley size) had to use the self checkout. I had a large trolley and £140+ worth of shopping so it was most stressful. There were also elderly customers who were struggling but getting no help at all from staff. To add to this, the person overseeing it all was very abrupt, and rather rude - it was clear that customer service was definitely not her strong point. I had started shopping regularly at Asda after going elsewhere for years, but I’ve not been since and don’t want to shop there again if this is what I can expect. I see there are similar reviews here about poor customer service and replies from Asda to say it will be looked into, but it’s obviously getting worse, so clearly it isn’t being looked into at all.

Clean store plenty of stock, helpful staff

Store is very dirty. Floors are dirty, glass doors in fridge section are covered in smears and finger prints. I dropped an item down the side of the self checkout and was horrified at how dirty the floor was, dust, hair, spilled food and bits. Needs a very deep clean.

Shop at this asda a lot, however today I was completely appalled by a lady working on the trolley self checkouts. A quite young lad was working on the basket self checkouts, he was lovely and upbeat, and clearly new. He poped over to the trolley self checkout as it seemed to me that he thought they needed assistance and the younger blonde woman working at 6:05pm 03/11/2023, shouted at the lad (in front of customers) just for trying to help, instead of correcting him for doing something wrong (from my understanding they didn’t need him and it was a mix up) she shouted at him, for something that small. I know I don’t know what had happened that day at all but by her mannerism it seems a common event. Honestly I have worked in retail and I’ve been the new person, and getting shouted at for trying to help IN FRONT of customers is a absolute joke.

Shopped there this morning only 2 manned checkouts open at least 14 in each line at 11am, not enough staff, everyone was unhappy & dissatisfied, older people do not want to self check a full trolley. I asked to speak to a Manger was told he was not in his day off, there should have offered to get a assistant manager. We queued for 30 minutes, much quicker in Aldi & Lidl.Asda will be losing regular customers like us.

The fuel pumps say they can provide you with a VAT receipt, this doesn't happen so during opening hours of the kiosk you have to go and ask for a receipt. On doing so it is not a vat receipt it is a "store journal extract". The fuel kiosk then sends you to the store to get a form to complete to send to ASADA to obtain a vat receipt. the store then tells you the form had been changed and gives you a slip of paper telling you how to obtain a receipt from ASDA. You follow the instructions and get a reply from ASDA telling you that you can only get a fuel VAT receipt from the store! You go back to the store and get a poorly trained staff member who is adept at speaking over people and telling you that you can use the 'Store Journal Extract" as a VAT reciept. Then when you point out this is not correct as no VAT number is shown on the printout she tells you they can do no more, i then pointed out that this is unlawfull on ASDA part, she then asks why?AS I SAID POORLY TRAINED TO HANDLE CUSTOMER ISSUES.WHOLE EXPERIENCE IS A LOW QUALITY STORE WITH LOW QUALITY SERVICE WITHE STAFF DOING JOBS THAT THEY ARE NOT TRIAND TO DO.LOW PRICES, LOW WAGES, LOW QUALITYNO NEED TO GO BACK JUST FILL MY TANK UP AT HOME

There isn't an option for 0 stars or i would have opted for that, got refused an alcoholic can by a jobsworth little hitler type ,because i asked my son to go and grab one when i was at the checkout as i had picked up 7 and the deal was 4 cans for price of 3 and i was one short ,security and manager called ,i was informed because my son had touched the alcoholic beverage id be unable to make the purchase ,i said id get my own cans and take the one my son brought back to shelf ,i was told i couldnt do that either !! Lack of common sense being shown, ludicrous staff member causing chaos at the tills, i will never shop here ever again and after sharing my experience with friends and family ,at least 7 families are boycotting this store due to inept and power mad staff ,i have innformed colleagues and 5 more said they will boycott in solidarity, as i tell this story to whoever will listen ,i imagine this will increase ,so to sum up ,they have cost themselves thousands of pounds a year due to an idiot staff member ,who thinks shes queen of the till ,more like over the hill !! Wokeness in its epitome!!

Well, 7 years is a long time to shop at one place and I'm finally getting to the end of my tether with Wrexham Asda. You now can't find anything as they keep swapping the store layout. Woe betide if you use scan & go and get stopped for a 'quality check', aka let's check you're not thieving, they only have one gun to do all the checking with. I'm swapping supermarkets.

You want us to go through those till where we do it ourselves but....... Have a flashing red light (due to "VEG" problem twice) and 6 staff members just standing talking together not looking , wasn't even busy ! If you want us to us them then instruct your staff to FULLY MAN AND WATCH THEM

Did a small food shop earlier. Barely any staff around. Had to ask a lady on Customer Services. And what staff member I did see didn’t look very happy probably because of being short staffed To point me in the right direction.for an item. When I got the tills. Only few tills open and the rest were Self Scans. Shop could be a little bit tidier at 9am. Shame really as no doubt 2 years ago Food shops were crying out for Staff.

Steven Perkins

Shocking customer service , tills rarely work , staff stood around talking , store dirty in places and to top it off you can’t get a carrier bag as the staff have to give them out because the manager told them so , no wonder Tesco is busy as the staff are happy and helpful and plenty of bags . Asda used to be good, sadly no more
